ELLUL, Ralph
Peacefully on Wednesday, December 24, 2024, at Victoria Hospital, London, Ralph passed away with family by his side. Cherished husband of Vivien (nee Bracken) Ellul for 55 years. Adored father of Jonathan Ellul (Amelie Lefebvre) and Natalie (Jeff) Pratt. Proud Nannu of Cameron, Charles, Eloise and Rosalie. Dear brother of Frances Vella and Moncia Davis. Brother-in-law to Ruth Bracken and Dolores Bracken. Predeceased by his siblings, May Ellul, Carmen Balaisis, Joesph Ellul, Lydia Coleiro and his sister-in-law Mary Galea and brothers-in-law, Carl Vella, Joseph Coleiro, Daniel Bracken and Fredric Bracken and his great nephew Tyler Coleiro. Loving son of the late Alfred and Rose Ellul and his in-laws William and Rachel Bracken. Beloved uncle to his adored nieces and nephews and countless Godchildren. Ralph will be missed by many extended family members and friends as he was known as the mayor of Mathers Street.
Ralph was a lover of bread and people. He had many friends throughout his career at CIBC, Central Chevrolet and Cochrane Pontiac & Buick and Courtesy (Motion) Ford Lincoln where he put in many dedicated years. Ralph was known for his joie de vivre and his cheeky sense of humour. Ralph was an active member of St. Justin’s Parish including The Knights of Columbus and music ministry. The last 17 months of his life were spent being happily and lovingly cared for by the dedicated staff at Glendale Crossing, in the Brighton neighbourhood.
Family and friends are welcome to visitation on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Vivian, Jonathan, Natalie & family…
I have so many cherished memories of Ralph coming over to the Burlock house on Sunday mornings… Ralph was such an amazing friend and colleague to our Dad and he was like a part of the family to all of us as well. He always had some kind of joke that he would whisper to us as he was leaving… We are so lucky to have had him in our lives!
Thinking of you all now and sending lots of love your way from Milan.
Michelle
It takes a village to raise a child and Ralph was the mayor of our village on Mathers St, he help raise generations of children, including my own. He taught me the history of my house, the neighbourhood and our school. He knew where to get the best bread and how to break it. Whenever I’m in the yard and feel the heat of the summer sun, I’ll be grateful and think of Ralph and hope he watches over me.
Dear Vivien, Jonathon, Natalie, Amelie and the whole family.
My heart is with you as you navigate this sacred time. Ralph was a light, I know cause I felt it. That smile, that laugh, that heart. That is what I think of, and you all carry that in you. I have felt that too.
Sending so much love to you.

Vivien, Jonathan and Natalie and families…so sorry to hear of the passing of your husband and dad. We always enjoyed little visits with Ralph at Bracken weddings and the Ford gatherings we saw him at. He was a great man and will be missed. Hugs to all.
Vivien and family, I am so sorry for your loss of a gentle and caring husband and father. My late husband, Wayne, enjoyed knowing and working with him at Central and Motion. When we attended St. Justin’s, we could see and hear the joyful presence of both of you in the choir. Ralph will be missed but always in your hearts.
