Jan Youare in my heart and healing prayers. Your mother is resting in eternal peace. May you feel her love surrounding you and giving you strength and comfort inthe days ahead. Know we are here from you
Sorry for your loss, we are thinking about you both. Love
So many of my childhood memories turn around Aunt Phyllis, whether visits with the Laidlaw family in London, Christmases at Grandma and Grandpa McCowan’s, visits of the Laidlaws to Manitoulin Island, and meetings at unlikely places across Ontario. Later, there were Christmases at the Laidlaw’s in London and even a train trip from Paris and across southern France. The peppery taste of the grapes that we tried in the field of Chateau Margaux remains with me to this day. The bike from To Wheels is being restored and will be put to use commuting across Paris. And that is not the only gift that came to me through her that I treasure to this day. She was a great aunt to me and a great sister to my mother. Her telephone calls were legendary. It is with sadness that I wish her goodbye and joy that I remember her.
