GIAMPA, Peter….

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our Dad, Nonno, husband, Peter Giampa at the age of 81, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

He was born Pietro Giampa on April 20, 1945 in Curinga, Italy, moving to Canada at age seven.

Peter was blessed with two children, Michael and Jennifer (Jack), who he cherished. As well as a grandson, Devon who he adored. And a wife, Barbara, who he loved dearly.

Peter will be sorely missed by his sister Joanne, sister-in-law Mary, brother-in-law Frank, sister-in-law Elinor. He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Angela (1993), and father Frank (1965), sister Sandy (2013), and brother Tony (2006).

Peter was a longtime parishioner of St. James Westminster Anglican Church. He was also a member of the drama club at the Horton Street Senior Center, hammimg it up in many plays and musicals. Peter dedicated 36 years of his career to Ford Automotive.

Peter enjoyed golfing, bowling, hustling pool, and impromptu dancing in public places to the joy/embarrassment of all those around.

The family thanks Royalcliffe Retirement Community,  with a special thanks to Kristina. As well as EMS and staff at Victoria Hospital Emergency Department.

Family and friends will be received for the visitation on Thursday, August 13th, 2–4pm and 6–8pm, located at the A. Millard George Funeral Home at 60 Ridout Street South, London. 

The funeral service will be held Friday, August 14th at 11:00am at St. James Westminster Anglican Church located at 115 Askin Street London, reception to follow.

Interment will be held at Harris Street Cemetery located at 334063 Plank Line, Ingersoll. 

In lieu of flowers the family wishes you to consider the charitable organizations addressing, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Heart and Stroke, and Alzheimer’s, as well as Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre or to a charity of your choice.
