I would see Wee Peggy every week at Shoppers Drug Mart and we would have a wee blether, I’d get my hug and she’d give me a big smile as she went out the door.
I enjoyed sending her pics of my grandkids on private message and waited for her to reply. She always enjoyed seeing the kid’s pics and that made me happy.
Many a time, I’ve dropped off groceries for her, bought items that she couldn’t find in stores, and she’s been to our house a few times, especially when my Scottish clan got together.
Rest peacefully Wee Peggy, I will miss you, as will the rest of our staff at Shoppers. 💕💕…Jan
Sorry to hear of your loss of Peggy….Neighbour karen
Well Peggy we were like ships passing in the night. I was lost and you were a consoling shoulder to lean on and to talk to. You could take the sarcasm and jokes, and give them back just as quickly. We would grab a coffee and then drive to the country talking and cajoling which seemed like forever. In December 2019 on a rainy day we traveled to Kincardine so we could visit my son’s grave. But first we stopped in Whitechurch, your first home in Canada and you got out of the car in the rain and I took your picture under the Whitechurch Town sign.
All the grocery shopping, medical visits, we did are memories I will cherish forever.
It came to the point where you adopted me, and I did you.
You were the first person that Carolyn and I told about our wedding, and you were the first invitee.
Not knowing it was going to be our last get together, on Thursday June 12 I’m waiting for the elevator, the doors opened and there you were. We chatted, and on leaving gave each other a kiss and a hug then each saying we love you. Carolyn and I miss you dearly, but we both knew that you were ready, as did the Lord, and it was peaceful, because you deserved that.
Dan. Our heartfelt condolences for the loss of your exceptional grandmother.
Will diffently miss doing your hair every Thursday and going for breakfast. We sure had some good laughs and conversations.Rest in peace my friend.Loved you like a mother ❤️
