Obituary
GREENBECK, Mary Anne Margaret..
(nee Roy)
Mary Anne (Roy) Greenbeck passed peacefully surrounded by her family at Parkwood Hospital, London, on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024, in her 64th year. Beloved wife for 41 years of Russell Greenbeck. Cherished mother of Jim and John Greenbeck. Dear sister of Susan Roy (Jay Rankin), Jane Roy (Glen Pearson) and Jennifer (Bill) Bellmore. Dear sister in law of Lee Greenbeck and Laurel Frederiksen. Loved by her nieces and nephews Jonah, Adam, Ater, Sam, Nicole, Emily, Abuk, Achan, Max and Madeline. Greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Mary Anne worked over the years as a caregiver of children. She had a simple faith and beauty that enveloped the world that she built around her. She loved people, her friends, family trips, Donny and Marie concerts. Her final weeks were spent taking care of others around her.
The family would like to express special thanks to the caring staff on the palliative unit at Parkwood Hospital and with special mention of thanks to Dr Hahn, her oncologist. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Miracle Network, Canadian Cancer Society or the Memorial Fund at St. George’s Anglican Church.
Arrangements entrusted with A. Millard George Funeral Home, 519-433-5184. Friends will be received by the family for visitation at St. George’s Anglican Church, 227 Wharncliffe Road North, London, from 12-1pm on Friday, March 22nd, 2024. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm, officiated by Reverend Aidan Armstrong. Mary Anne has been cremated and interment will take place at a later date in a private family ceremony at Woodland Cemetery, London. Mary Anne always saw the joy in life. She gave the warmest hugs and had a huge smile on her face, whenever I visited with her sister, Jen. We always had fun playing cards. Sending all of the family the warmest sympathies. Love: Greg, Donnette, Mitch, Jordan and Emma.
My deepest condolences to the Greenbeck’s and the Roy sisters. Heaven just gained another angel. Now, Mary Anne will be in good company with her Mom and Dad. At least now she won’t be suffering any longer. I’ll miss her dearly. May she rest in Peace!!!
So sorry to hear of Mary Anne’s passing. Fond thoughts of bygone days with St George’s youth groups. We are in Arizona but will be thinking of the family on Friday.

Dear family. I was so saddened to learn of Mary Anne’s passing. Although I didn’t know her well, and only met her on a few occasions, the warmth, kindness and love that she exuded was immediately felt. A joyful soul and I’m so sorry that she has suffered in these past few years. Reunited with her mom and dad brings comfort as they were both very special people as well. My heartfelt condolences to you all.
