Obituary
MALANAY, Leticia….
On Monday, October 19, 2026, at 5:00 PM EST, my beautiful mom took her final breath on earth and went home to be with our loving Heavenly Father.
Two years ago, during what was meant to be a ten-day road trip to Banff, Mom fell critically ill and ended up in the ICU in Calgary. When she woke up, her first words were, “I think I saw God.”
I asked, “Great! What did He say?”
She replied, “He’s giving me two more years.”
Today, two years later, surrounded by family and the medical team she lovingly called her angels, the Lord honored His promise.
Mom was a woman of extraordinary faith, kindness, and generosity. She opened her home to everyone, helped parents struggling with tuition, cared for forgotten seniors, and gave to those trying to build a better life. She always said, “We are blessed to be a blessing.”
Although she had only one biological child, she was a mother to many. Her life was a living testimony of God’s love-not just through the Bible she cherished, but through the countless lives she touched.
Today, my heart is broken, but I find comfort knowing she is finally home with the Father she loved so deeply.
Mom taught me that the true measure of a life isn’t what we accumulate, but what we give away in love. We don’t know how much time we have, so don’t wait to be kind, don’t wait to give, and don’t wait to tell people they matter.
May we all live in a way that leaves this world a little softer, kinder, and more loving because we were here.
Rest peacefully, Mom. Your faith brought you home, but your love will live on in all of us. Until we meet again.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:21
