Obituary
RODGERS, John…
John Rodgers, of London, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, March 23, 2026 in his 84th year.
Dear father of John Paul Rodgers and his wife Maryam and Carri Rodgers-Rowley and her husband Jeff. Grandpa of Alexandra, Christopher and Jacob Rowley, and Behnaz Ensan. Brother of Karen and Dianne Kappler. Uncle of Lisa Schroeder. Dear friend of Barbara Rodgers (2017). Predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Orval Kappler.
John was born in Toronto, but grew up in London. He had a long career in financing that took him and the family to several different cities in Ontario, but London was always home. His children and his grandchildren brought him much joy and pride. He would often share their accomplishments with anyone who would listen. A perpetual socializer, connecting and storytelling with clients, co-workers and friends gave him incredible energy. John or “JR” cherished time with his many friends, whether it be on the golf course, a backyard BBQ or a pub. The laughs and stories were the highlight of his days.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date.
In John’s memory, donations may be made to the Humane Society London & Middlesex or Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre.
Arrangements entrusted with A. Millard George Funeral Home, 519-433-5184. Online condolences, memories and photographs shared at www.amgfh.com

Well JR your time has come and what an 84 years you had my friend. You completed our over 70 year friendship just the other day and I along with the rest of us living were so sad to hear the news . Then we got to thinking about all the fun, laughs and great times we had together . I reminisce fondly about our late 80’s early 90’s partnership in our Truck Brokerage and Leasing Company and how much we both earned and learned during that time. Time now to say goodbye JR. Godspeed John …a life well lived…well done old friend.
To John’s family
Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time, but we’re hoping that your happiest memories will serve as some source of comfort. Keep them close to your hearts.
John was a wonderful friend who will be missed by so many of us who were fortunate to have known him and shared a laugh or two. He had a wicked sense of humour, as well as that mischievous grin that I’m sure none of us will ever forget. We will “raise a glass” in his memory, to honour a very special guy.
