Gibbs, John “Red”

Peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Victoria Hospital, London, John “Red” passed away in his 98th year. Beloved husband of the late Doreen Gibbs for 66 years. Loving father of Brian (Julia), the late Ron (Christine), Randy (JoAnne), Paul (Bev), David (Carol), Jeff (Laurie), and Chris (Sonya). Proud grandfather of Stephen (Jamie), Laurie (Mark), Pat (Lovonne), Katie (Matt), Brandon, Mike, Matt (Heather), Nathan, Melany, Lindsey (Trevor), Jennifer (Kyle) and 9 great-grandchildren. Survived by his sister Kay. Predeceased by his siblings Dave, and Helen. John will be dearly missed by his friend Donna O’Reilly. He will be lovingly remembered by many extended family members and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. A private family interment will take place in Woodland Cemetery, London.     What a Fabolous Life, eh you guys. He was a Really Good old dude!
    Red’s passing was brought to my attention by our CN family and Friends. I know my Dad has another friend now for company.
    Im Very Sorry for the loss!
