Passed away peacefully at the Village of Glendale Crossing, London on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in her 72nd year after a long battle with Parkinson’s. Beloved wife of the late Raymond (2001). Loving mother of Justin. Dear sister of the late John Campbell. Predeceased by her parents Edgar and Lila Campbell. Jean had a long career as a registered nurse and made many lasting friendships. Jean will be deeply missed but forever remembered with fondness and admiration. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family are welcome to visitation at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:00 am. A funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am. My heart breaks. She was my first nursing mentor as a student, on 3 Center at Vic South St. 1977.
She was a rock star nurse – knew her stuff inside and out and didn’t let me get away with anything!
She’d look at me when I screwed up and say “What’s wrong with this picture!”
I’ll never forget Laverne and her absolute devotion to her patients!
There was only one Jean!

Sending my condolences to Justin and to everyone who loved Jean. She was a brilliant nurse who made a huge impact on her patients and colleagues. And just a genuine, great person to know. I admired her vibrant spirit and her ability to inspire and help others in so many ways. She was one of the first people that I worked closely with at the start of my career and I will always appreciate her kindness, support, leadership, and great sense of humour. It was a true pleasure to know Jean.

Jean and I started our training in dialysis the same day. She was such a great teacher and was so good to her patients. I loved working with her and there was always a funny moment the days she was working. After we both retired we would have lunch once a month and there was always a laugh about something. My condolences to Justin and the Fab 5. She will be missed.

JUSTIN– So terribly sorry for your loss. I worked with your mother in the Dialysis Unit on the 6th floor for many years and I was always relieved when I knew that she was working the same shift– she was a dedicated nurse who always lightened up the day while working.
I know have some pictures, somewhere, from the unit and will try to post them if/when I find them.

My sincere condolences, Justin. I had the pleasure of working with your mom. She was always full of life. The last time we saw each other was 10 years ago. Your mom was her amazing self and we had a lovely visit. So grateful.
Hoping her celebration of life reflects her warm, welcoming, and bigger than life personality.
Sending love and hugs
