On Sunday, June 28th, 2026 Jean E. (nee Buck) Blackman passed peacefully and was reunited with her beloved husband Ronald E. Blackman (2005). Dear Mother to Ron Blackman and his wife Fay of Penticton, BC, Bonnie Erdelac and her husband Wayne of Everton, Joan Nichol and her husband Robert of Ailsa Craig, Kathy Albrough and her husband Steve of Ingersoll, and Patti Rose and her husband Craig of Loring. Also loved by her 12 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her loving sisters Gerry Newman and Barb Johnson. Her children were blessed to share on June 17th her 100th birthday and added more wonderful memories. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Southbridge Longterm Care Home and special thanks to Dr. Crabbe and NP Mona for their guidance and compassion. Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London. Arrangements entrusted with A. To the entire Blackman family – When I think back to my wonderful childhood memories… many of them were made at the corner of Ladybrook & Widmore & others at Grand Bend. Your mom (& dad) were always willing to have more kids in the house or at the trailer for hours and even over night. And I know it’s heartbreaking to have to say that final “good-bye” but how wonderful she was able to celebrate her 100th birthday with you all. Only wish the Blue Jays had won the world series for her last year and had carried the wins through this season.. maybe she will be their angel in the outfield now. So many memories you all must have – a long lifetime full of them to be held in your hearts forever. Thinking of you all as you now navigate life knowing she is with your dad at last. Hugs & love
