Obituary
MILLER, James “Jim”…
It is with overwhelming grief that I announce the passing of my dear husband of 56 years, James Howard Miller. Surviving besides myself, Sally, a precious new addition – a doxie named Adele, brother-in-law Bob Hueston, nephews Stewart (Kay), Shawn (Kristie) and Seth Hueston, and niece Lorraine (Peter) Moor, along with dear friends and other relatives. Jim’s favourite job was at the Western Bookstore. He was an ardent reader, day tripper, diner and fanatic football fan. His hearty laugh endeared him to many. He was so reassuring, loving and kind. He would always end his calls with “God Bless and be well”. No funeral or celebration of life will be held per Jim’s wishes. Donations to the Humane Society London & Middlesex, or any Cancer or Heart Foundations would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted with A. Millard George Funeral Home, 519-433-5184. Jimmy, rest well my friend. Thanks for keeping the friendship alive for so many years beyond our time at the UWO Bookstore. I’m going to miss those conversations and the laughter.
Sally, you have my deepest condolences. Take good care. Tim
Sally, our deepest condolences on the passing of Jim … We have known him and you for many years as you have lived on our street all these years … He had quite the hearty laugh … He will be missed … He truly loved his weekend football games …
I am so sorry for your loss. Jim was a wonderful man, and he will be deeply missed. Jim loved good conversation and meaningful connection. He was passionate about his faith and never hesitated to share his thoughts on religion and politics, always with honesty and heart. Jim stood by what he believed in and stood by the people he cared about. His friendship, thoughtful talks, and steady presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
It was a true honor to have known such a great man. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Sally, my deepest condolences. I always appreciated Jim’s calls, especially after my Jim passed – he was my best telephone friend. He always checked-in on me, even when he was not doing so well. I will always remember his hearty laugh and the stories he would share about he and my Jim. “God bless and be well!”
My Uncle Jim was one of the most wonderful human beings I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I will always remember how loved and special he made me feel. When he turned the light of his attention in your direction, he made you feel like you were the only person in the world. I will remember him as vibrant and full of life and hope to bring a little bit of that light to others in honour of him. You will be dearly missed and remembered fondly Uncle Jim. Thank you for being one a bright light in a sometimes dreary world 💕.
