MARTIN, James “Jim”
James “Jim” Martin passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30th, 2024 in his 77th year. Loving father of David Horne. Dear brother of Barbara Martin, Stephen Martin, Janet Morton (Reg), Catherine Shaw (Brian), and Ronald Martin (Pamela). Beloved uncle of Dana, Nicole, Natalie, Christina, Laura, Martin, Elizabeth, Brandon and Ryan. Jim will also be missed by his great nieces and nephews.
Jim was a passionate sports enthusiast who loved golf, baseball, hockey, visiting the gym, squash, and staying active through various other sports. He found joy in cycling and cherished the camaraderie of being a proud member of Toastmasters. Jim’s vibrant spirit and dedication to his passions will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
The family would like to thank Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care-St. Mary’s Side, along with the nurses and doctors at University Hospital for their exceptional care of Jim.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd, 2025 at A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, from 10-10:45am. Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11am. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, London. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jim may be made to your local Food Bank. Online condolences, memories and photographs shared at www.amgfh.com
