McMICHAEL, Heather…..
Heather Marilyn McMichael, daughter of William and Hazel Elliott, passed away peacefully Monday, September 14, 2026 in London, at the age of 73. She leaves behind her Husband of 51 years, Glenn. Loving sister of Holly (John), Gail, and Laurie (Ross).
Heather spent many years working as a secretary at the courthouse, where she formed many lasting friendships along the way. In retirement, she could often be found socializing with her former coworkers or watching live theatre. Heather’s warm and social nature allowed her to get along easily with everyone she met, and she will be missed by those who knew her well.
A Memorial Service will be held at A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, on, Monday, October 5, 2026 at 1pm. For those who cannot attend in person, the Memorial Service will be live streamed by visiting the AMG Funeral Home YouTube channel.
A private family internment will take place at Pond Mills Cemetery, London.

I’m very sad to hear of Heather’s passing. I met her in Kensington when we were both recovering from surgery. We became friends and spent alot of time together. She was a lovely lady. I will miss her.

It is with great sadness to hear of Heather’s passing. The sweetest person you could ever meet. We’ve been friends since high school and although during our lives we were both busy working etc. we always kept in touch. It was a joy to spend time with her or just write back and forth. She never forgot my birthday or our anniversary. That was just her way! My heart goes out to all the family and particularly her husband Glen and all of her sisters. God Bless them all. Heather and I worked together on the OPSEU Region One retiree committee. She was such a nice person. She always provided thoughtful advise. She will be missed.

Heather was such a sweet and generous soul and I will miss her very much. She loved her family (sisters and nieces/nephews & extended family) with all of her heart, as well as her many friends and former co-workers, so my condolences go out to all. Thinking of you especially Glenn…..guard duty is over, but know that your caring, compassionate dedication at Heather’s bedside was profoundly meaningful. The love that you showed her meant more than anything, especially when it was needed most.

Heather was a dedicated and loyal member of O.P.S.E.U. (Ontario Public Service Employees Union) who worked tirelessly to maintain employee’s rights. She was also quite involved in community services. Always quiet in her demeanor but strong and committed to her ideals. She suffered through many long term health issues but is now at peace. She will be missed by all.

We were so very saddened to hear about Heather’s passing. We so enjoyed spending time with her, and enjoying her lively and well-informed conversations. We will miss her, as will all those who had the great privelege of knowing her.
She was such a kind person! So friendly and loving, and generous. We only wish we would have spent more time with her and Glenn.
Glenn, our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to you in this time of loss and sorrow. Our recent experience in our family has taught us that the support of those who care about us is a comfort, even though the hurt and ache of loss remains. Know that you are loved and that you will find the strength to go on.
