Obituary
ROBINSON, Gerald “Jerry” Victor…
Passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025 in his 87th year. He was born November 1, 1937, in Woodstock, Ontario to Victor and Mary Robinson. Beloved brother of Dennis Robinson (Cathy) and sister Maxine Onishenko (Walt). Predeceased by his wife Marlene and survived by his sons Mark, Scott, Jeff (Laurie) and Steve (Heather) and grandchildren Eddy, Jeremy, Katlin, Matthew, Emery, Griffin and Blake. He will be dearly missed by his brother in law Paul (Anne), sister in law Diane and many nephews and nieces.
Jerry married Marlene on October 6, 1962. Together, they became the parents of two sets of twin boys that kept him very busy throughout life. He was adamant they see Canada coast to coast in their tent trailer that brought fond memories. His love of sports got his kids involved in hockey, golf, soccer and baseball. Whether he was managing a soccer team or catching one of their high school games he always tried to be there.
For the majority of his career Jerry worked for DH Howden in London Ontario. He enjoyed those years working in multiple roles travelling the globe as a Manager and Director in Sales, Marketing and Exporting. Jerry and Marlene eventually moved to Port Stanley to start the next chapter of their life. Jerry loved his 20 years in the area and throughout that time became one of the largest realtors in Port Stanley. Work was always a true passion of his, something he passed on to his boys.
Outside of work, Jerry enjoyed curling, golf, reading and watching sports. Summer days were listening to the Tigers on the radio, the aroma of a cigar and overdone charcoal hamburgers. Winters consisted of curling Bonspiels throughout southern Ontario and Hockey Night in Canada crowded around the one TV in the household.
We wanted to give a special thank you to all the staff at Ashwood Manor and Kensington Village for their support over the last several years.
Our father will be missed by all those that he’s left behind. He faced life’s challenges with strength and courage and taught us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. We’ll miss you Dad.
On Sunday, October 26, 2025 a celebration of life for friends and family will be held at the Woodstock Legion, 642 Dundas Street, Woodstock, ON from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
