MAREK, Edna…
Edna Marek passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London on Monday, May 13th, 2024 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of Emanual “Mike” Marek for 48 years. Sister of Catherine Mifflin (Whyte), the late Ivan Mifflin of Chatham, and the late John Whyte of London. Sister-in-law of Thaddäus Marek, Gunter Marek, Alfred Marek, Irmgard Cotton and, Krista Knolle. Loving daughter of the late John & Gladys (nee Moorehouse) Whyte. Edna will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Edna retired as a Medical Administrator in London after over 40 years of Service. She was an avid curler, and enjoyed traveling with her husband Mike on trips to Europe, Caribbean, Hawaii, and Canada.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18th, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the A. Millard George Funeral Home Chapel, 60 Ridout Street South, London. Private family interment to be held in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham at a later date. Donations in memory of Edna may be made to the Cardiac Fitness Institute or a charity of your choice.
