Obituary
PRINCE, Doreen
Doreen C. Prince (née Milner Cole) was welcomed into her eternal home by her loving Heavenly Father and Saviour on January 16, 2026, in her 97th year.
Deeply loved by her family, Doreen was the devoted wife of Don (predeceased) and the cherished mother of Barbie (Robbie), Barry, Bradley, Brenda (Brian), and Beverley (Dave). She was a treasured Nan to Elizabeth, Elliott, Nicole (predeceased), Maddy, Sarah, Mackenzie (Chris), Cooper, and Myah, and a proud great-grandmother.
Doreen was a loving sister to Christine and Margaret, and to Veronica and Clara (predeceased). She held a special place in the hearts of many extended family members and dear friends.
A woman of unwavering faith, compassion, and quiet strength, Doreen lived a life of service, devotion, and love. Her legacy continues in the countless lives she touched and in the happy memories shared by all who walked beside her.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Mrs. Prince was a great neighbour to me growing up. She was always so happy to see me and greet me as I was outside playing, going to school, or doing yard work for them and I will forever remember that warmth she brought into my life. She was an incredible human and I feel very fortunate to have lived beside her for 11 years. I am glad I was able to visit with her this past summer and have one last conversation with her. My condolences to her family, my heart is heavy today knowing that she is now gone.
We are so sorry for your loss. Carl and I have been thinking of you and reflected on all the happy times we shared with Doreen, those beautiful days in Jamaica and the many good moments together in Canada. Doreen. You’ve always been such a bright light, and your presence will be deeply missed.
Please know we are holding you in our hearts.

My heart is broken but I am very grateful to have been notified. Don & Doreen were great neighbours but even more than that, Doreen was my dear friend. I will miss our talks & visits and her wise wisdom. Her strength will always inspire me – she may have been small but she was mighty! Her deep faith helps me to remember she’s gone on to eternal life. Until we meet again my friend.
My condolences to the family. I’m sorry I can’t be with you to celebrate her life.
I knew Doreen for 65+ years so, from a child to senior, I have many wonderful memories.
Firstly, let me say that Evelyn & Frank Norris were my parents – Doreen was my Mom’s best friend & they became great friends with both Don & Doreen. Your Mom was an immense comfort to me when my mother passed away and then when my husband passed a year later. We maintained contact and she was very special to me.
Your Mom lived a long and fruitful life. Her steadfast faith in God was an inspiration to many and she will be sorely missed. As we mourn her passing from this earth, there will be great rejoicing in Heaven.
Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss.
Love to you all who will miss her.

We are so sorry to hear of Doreen’s passing. She always stopped for a chat as she was out walking, and loved to comment on our gardens. She asked about our family, and had such a positive attitude to life. We will miss seeing her in our neighbourhood! 💕
A wonderful sister in Christ & devoted member of the London Ontario Gideon chapter spreading the gospel of Christ Jesus. Psalm 116:15 “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful servants”
2 Timothy 4:7-8
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
Matthew 25:21(a)
“Well done, good and faithful servant”
Doreen has been an inspiration to our family. She is honoured for her strong, independent spirit, caring interest in people and loving devotion to God.
Doreen enjoyed having meaningful conversations. She was faithful in bringing concerns and gratitude to God.
Doreen’s compassion for people was evident in her leadership of the local Samaritan’s Purse annual shoebox campaign bringing joy and eternal hope to children around the world.
We rejoice in knowing that Doreen has been welcomed into her eternal home with Jesus, her beloved Saviour.
My heart goes out to all of Doreen’s family. She has been welcomed into Heaven, and she will be waiting for all who have accepted Jesus as their Saviour. What a wonderful friend she has been to many. Our prayers and thought will be with you all during this time of grieving.
