It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis Sillett, who departed this life at the age of 81. Dennis left this world surrounded by love, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever endure in the hearts of all who knew him.
Dennis is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Sillett; his two children, James Sillett (Kim) and Rebecca Telfer (Cam); and his cherished grandchildren, Trent, Natalie, Marshall, and Leah, who lovingly knew him as “Pa.” He is also survived by his sister, Susan Bingham (Russ), and was a beloved uncle and great-uncle to many wonderful nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Violet Sillett, and his sister, Carol Massey.
Dennis had a wonderful career as an engineer with CN Rail. He was an avid sports and music enthusiast, and he found great joy in spending time with friends and family at his cottage.

Dear Pat, Susan and Family,
I was saddened to read about Dennis’s passing. Thinking of him brings a flood of fond memories from our shared “All Saint’s” days. You could always count on Dennis to keep you laughing and smiling, even if it was not exactly at the appropriate moment some times. He is truly a joy to remember. Keep all of the loving and warm memories close to your hearts, and he will never be far away.
You will be kept in my thoughts and prayers,
Bill Morton

Dennis was a great neighbor when living on Cheviot Road. He and I had great laughs as well as talking about sports. Dennis had a wonderful, dry humor which I always appreciated back in the day.
My sincerest condolences to Dennis’s family.
Pat, Jamie, Becky and families:
We are so sorry to hear of Dennis’s passing. A smile comes to our face thinking about all of his witty stories. Stories about the railway, his family, life, his past sports achievements and his latest win against Ray and the ongoing sports competition for “the trophy” at the lake.
Ray will hold the trophy up high in your honour, my friend.
Dennis was one of a kind and we were all blessed and happy to have had him in our lives!
We will truly miss seeing him at the lake.
Dear Pat & Family
