Obituary
KELLY, Anna Marie
Anna Marie Kelly peacefully reposed in the Lord on April 18, 2024 surrounded by her sons, Holy icons and candlelight.
Born in Temiscaming, Quebec on August 15, 1962 – the Kelly family moved to Windsor Ontario where Anna received her degree in Nursing following the profession of her mother and sisters.
She then lived in London, Ontario nursing many patients with love in the Critical Care Trauma Centre at LHSC.
No words can truly describe Anna’s beautiful soul.
Anna raised 4 children in North London with her husband at the time George Georgopoulos. She excelled in her culinary cooking, gardening and creative artistic skills, though foremost the role of a full time mother was her greatest joy.
With her boys they spent memorable times in the wilderness and lakes in Northern Ontario where she taught her sons to explore nature, build campfires and trust in God’s Holy Will.
Anna is survived by her three sons Robert (Yanina), James & Justin Georgopoulos and step-daughter Trinati Georgopoulos. She was a loving grandmother to Leo, Anna, Tao and Tula. Anna was a devoted aunt to many of her nieces and nephews who loved her deeply. Her gracious soul touched the lives of many people who came in to her life – even in her last days on earth.
Anna is survived by her mother Mary Margaret, brothers Michael, Matthew, Tim, Patrick and sister Erin Briggs. Predeceased by her father Orville and sisters Janet Kurt (Lyle) and Katherine Kelly.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday April 23, 2024 from 3-5pm at A. Millard George Funeral Home , 60 Ridout St S, London, Ontario followed by a Requiem Service being held at 6pm at Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church, 140 Fairview Ave London, Ontario, a visitation will follow. The funeral service will take place at 10am Wednesday April 24, 2024 at Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church followed by burial at Woodland Cemetery, London.

My deepest condolences for Anna’s loved ones. Losing a remarkable woman and mother is hard, but to know her is the real gift.
Someone so loved can never be forgotten. Anna is a treasured woman that many hold closely to their hearts. She is a lot of things to many people and she is missed tremendously.
The depth of her love and care towards others lives on in all those who know her. Especially in her children and grandchildren. You see glimpses of her in them, sharing with her the same heart, kindness, and smile.
I am fortunate to have met her briefly and to have been witness to her loving nature. She is an wonderful lady, but most importantly a mother and grandmother.
Robert, James and Justin, you are such a joy to her and have comforted your mother, surrounding her with the very love she gave you. I know she is special because she raised three incredible men and loves you very deeply.
May all of your family and friend’s feel comfort during this time sharing memories and reflections on a beautiful life spent with her.
God bless.
My deepest sympathies to Anna’s family – breaks my heart that you all have suffered another loss. I remember Anna as a very young girl walking the pipeline down to her Grandmas house – our Aunt Zelle’s – such a wonderful, loving family – whenever we got to visit spending time with the Kelly’s was the most “looked forward to” – may your fondest memories of your daughter, Mom, Grandmom and sister bring a smile among the sorrow.
Heaven gained a beautiful Angel. May Anna’s soul rest in peace and soar high in the heavens. She left the world a better place by being her authentic self; a wise, caring and loving woman who enriched the lives of whoever was blessed to be in her presence. She did a wonderful job raising her children to be respectful, kind and wise and she will continue to live through them. My sincerest condolences to the whole family. Sending strength, peace and my deepest sympathy to you all in this difficult time . Your family and your loved one will be in my thoughts and prayers 🤍🕊️
We were so sad to hear of Anna’s passing. In the short time we were neighbours, her kindness and joyful smile made a lasting impression on all of us, but particularly for our son Josh, who has so many fun childhood memories of that time. She radiated love for her children and we are heartbroken thinking of their tremendous loss. Thinking of you all, the Gilchrist family
My deepest sympathies and condolences to Anna’s family and everyone who was touched by her at some point in their life. As one of Trinati’s close friends she always welcomed myself and my daughter into her home and fed us many wonderful huge dinners. She was such a kind, compassionate and generous human. As a young mother I was always in awe of her poise and seemingly magical abilities to always be hosting so many people, run around after the boys and bless Trinati and I with words of wisdom as we became young women and mothers. Sending so much love to the family as they navigate this difficult time.
My sincere condolences to Anna’s loved ones. I had the privilege of working with Anna at Canadian Blood Services for many years. It was such a pleasure to know and work with her. When Anna was on you knew you would have a good day. She was always smiling, friendly and willing to help anyone in any way. Anna was so dedicated to the job that when she was in charge she often missed breaks and left late.
A remarkable woman who will be missed immensely. May your wonderful memories help you at this sad and difficult time.
We’re so very sorry for your loss. We hope that your fondest memories will help you through this difficult time. Our family will keep you in our thoughts.
Anna was a wonderful person who touched the lives of many that were fortunate enough to know her. Her kindness and grace will never be forgotten. She was very proud of her family . Take comfort in knowing that part of her lives on in you her children. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time.
