Kennedy…
M. Joyce Kennedy (nee Stewart) of London, formerly of Ingersoll in her 80th year after a courageous battle surrounded by family at London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital, I.C.U. on Friday May 25, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Dr. C. J. Chuck” Kennedy (1976). Dear mother of Judd and Marlene Kennedy of London”
I was thinking of your mom recently. We hadn’t spoken in some years but I well remember Joyce and our conversations about our Arabian horses. I’m sorry for your loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this sad time.

Although I have not seen your Mother for several years, I have always wondered how she was doing. Quite a number of years ago, we attended a Zone 1 Arabian Horse Club awards banquet at Hook’s and when she entered the room, looked around and didn’t see anyone she recognized, we asked her to please sit with us. To this day, I don’t know why we attended – maybe for this purpose. We had a lovely time chatting about many things. She received some bad advice about some business ideas and had to live with it. But, she loved Shazantia! That mare opened up a small, friendly window to other people.
We are hoping that she is up in Heaven riding that beautiful mare and having the time of her life! That is what she really wanted on earth – now it will become a reality!!!!!
It is indeed difficult to say good-bye to a Mother who is sick and needs to be in a better place. She is there now.

Dear Pat,Doug,Leanne&Grace,
Kevin,Ryan,Scott,Kim and I would like to extend to you and your family our deepest sympathy in the loss of your mother,Joyce.I have many fond memories of overnight stays at your house and your mom was always the epitomy of hospitality and grace.Some of the most precious memories that come to mind are the dinner parties we held at your dining room table with your mom allowing us to create culinary masterpieces in her kitchen and then letting us use her finest china and silverware to serve it on.I remember that the food just tasted so much better as it slid off the polished silverware.I also remember our many trips to the Royal where your mom made sure that we all experienced the pagentry and excitment of the evening sharing our love of horses.She was a wonderful, congenial, hospitable woman who was the epitomy of poise and grace.One of my last and most precious memories is the dinner we shared at her condo before seeing a play at the Grand.Of that night I remember the usual fine table set with all the elegant china and great food and then a side splitting play afterwards.I will miss her and through this most difficult time I hope that the love of others will cradle your hearts to ease the sadness.

to Judd & Patty and families;
i would like to extend my condolences to you at this time of sorrow. it seems that the older we get, the memories that we shared in our youth coming flooding back with only a single word, name or action. when i read of your mother’s passing on Sunday, i remembered the many meals on harris street that i shared with all of you and her many appearances at some of my father’s auction sales where she honed her education in buying and selling antiques. i also remembered how Judd and I surprised her with our unconventional arrival to harris st., once when decided to drive thru the field in my 4×4 and drive upto the fence while Joyce was looking out the kitchen window, what a site it must of been for her to see a truck heading straight for the house.
you will be in my thoughts and prayers during your time of sadness.

Dear Patty, Judd and families,
I just wanted you to know that I’m thinking about you at this incredibly difficult time. I was so sorry to hear about your Mum. The past few weeks must have been very hard for you.
In the past year I had a couple of occasions to catch up with your Mum. It was great to see her at Lake Simcoe last summer and have such a nice visit.
I’m sorry that I can’t be with you tomorrow, but you’ll be in my thoughts.
With love, Heather, Michael and Alexandra
