I have spent the past 2 days remembering the really great and fun person my Grandfather was. I have 37 years of really great memories that I will charish forever.

I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to Gandolph’s family. Since we first became acquainted almost 20 years ago while pursuing a passion for genealogy, I have always felt fortunate to have met such a wonderful and spirited soul as Gandolph. I know he has touched the lives of many people and he will be missed by all of them.

Dear Gandolph, thank you for your exceptional life and indomitable spirit. You have been a very important part of my life since the untimely death of my father. You provided stability, love, humour and passion to me and my family. You were the father when I needed one, and the friend and support during difficult times. Together we laughed and cried and tried to make meaning out of some difficult situations. Your life has touched many and you will remain in our thoughts for the rest of our days. Bless you Erika for being his very best friend and for bringing so much joy to his life. Thank you Gandolph for sharing your life with us, and we wish you happy trails.

Uncle Gandolph was truly a special and genuine person whom we feel very privileged to have known. We loved his stories and his sense of humour and find it remarkable that he was still emailing us up until just a short time ago. Our condolences go out to you and your family Erika.

To Gandolph’s family: It was with sadness when I read the obit in the newspaper recently. Gandolph and I worked together at CPRI for over 6 years back in 1973 through to 1979. At time I was Susan Murray but while working with Gandolph I married and became Susan Muir. He was my immediate supervisor in the Human Development Department. He was a kind man with a gentle nature. At that time, he and Irma lived in Newbury. I can remember when he used to bring in his eggs to sell to the staff and his homemade yogurt. When he retired, I attended his party at CPRI, which was very well attended. He was a well-liked person and albeit I have not seem him for years (except for bumping into him at Sears in Masonville years ago and he still recognized me!) I know that he will be greatly missed by many who knew him. My sincerest condolences go out to you all.
