Memories of June: June stepped in one year when my parents were away to be my “mother” at the Girl Guide Mother/daughter banquet at Calvary United Church. She wore her Commissioner’s uniform and my friends were impressed that I had a celebrity stand-in. Whenever I came home June would either wave from the dining room or call over from the kitchen. On my last visit I knew something was wrong when she was not there. I will continue to wave. Rest in peace.
I have many fond memories of times around the pool with nana June and papa Reg and of the year I spent living with them. Her pies were delicious!
It was with sadness that we learned of June’s passing. We all have fond memories of conversations by the pool and dinners together. Her friendly waves when we arrived in the laneway next door and her ongoing interest in our lives were always welcomed. She touched a great many lives and will be very much missed but we join with others in celebrating the wonderful lady she was. June will live on in memory by those who knew her. Our deepest sympathy to the family and other friends. May you find peace in the knowledge that June enjoyed a long and impactful life.
Aunt June, I am so grateful for the many years you were in my life. We’ve shared many cups of tea, jokes and jigsaw puzzles. Thank you for teaching me to be a life-long learner and generous to others – especially family. Love always, Jenny
Grandma June it is hard to believe you are gone. I will always treasure my memories of making pancakes, playing with paper dolls and falling in love with Dr Seuss. Thank you. Your memory will live on forever. ??
Rhond.
