Obituary
CARERE, Shirley…
Shirley Ellen Carere passed away peacefully at home in London, Ontario, in the afternoon of Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 in her 93rd year. Shirley was the beloved wife of the late Dominic Carere. Loving mother of Joseph Carere (Lori), and Ellen Carere all of London. Missed by her grandchildren Jason (Erica), Matthew (Alaina) and Ashley (Connor). Shirley will be dearly missed by her 4 great-grandchildren and her brother-in-law Joseph Carere. She is predeceased by her brother Jack Milner, her several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and some nieces and nephews.
Shirley was truly one of a kind. She deeply loved her departed best-friend Gloria. Having met each other at age 3, they grew up together, married and had children of their own. Their late husbands, Dominic and Frank became the best additions, and all 4 shared an irreplaceable bond that lasted a lifetime. They are all now together in love and light.
Gardening, reading, doing crosswords, and most importantly her grandchildren were her passion.
The family would like to thank all those who have been there for Shirley and family these past few years, and most recently the St. Elizabeth Healthcare staff. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Shirley may be made to Alzheimer Society of London Southwest Partners, 435 Windermere Rd, London, ON N5X 2T1.

Joe and Ellen.
Sorry to learn of your mom’s passing. I have great childhood memories of your folks hanging out with the Carabott family. Many fun times as kids there. May your memories be a comfort to you and knowing that they are all together again in heaven.

Thinking of you Joe and Lori on the loss of Joe’s mom.
Joe and Ellen, we are so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. She and your father were so kind and welcoming when we moved in next door. We still remember the Christmas Eves they would have us and others over. We had some good times. They were the best neighbours.
