Obituary
NOVLAN, Kenneth George…
Ken passed calmly on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Parkwood Palliative Care in his 81st year. Devoted and loving husband of Sheila Novlan for 41 wonderful years. Cherished big brother of the late James Novlan and William (Margaret) Novlan of BC. Ken will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and their families, Mia and Joene and their mother Dianne of B.C.
Ken retired from Ford Motor Company after a 40 year long career. He was a long-time past member of both London Curling Club and Greenhill’s Golf Club, where he spent many enjoyable years of friendship on and off the rink and course. Ken thrived in the kitchen and loved nothing more then preparing and enjoying a meal for his friends. He was a kind and generous person.
A heartfelt thanks go out to all our family and friends (too many to mention) who provided support, visits and phone calls, and to the health care workers who cared for Ken during his illness. A special thank you to Carlyle Baker, Ken’s special brother-in-law.
Friends and family are welcomed to Celebrate Ken’s Life on Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 1-4pm at the A. Millard George Reception Centre, 60 Ridout Street South, London. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the London Regional Cancer Program or the Parkwood Institute-Palliative Care. Online condolences, memories and photographs shared at www.amgfh.com

It is with great sadness to hear of Ken’s passing. We have had many memorable adventures with Ken and Sheila including his hole-in-one when he generously treated us all with refreshments and camaraderie. Their visit to our home in San Diego gave us the opportunity to see first hand, the unconditional love and support that they shared. We are privileged to have had Ken Novlan as a long time friend and golfing bud. He was loved and respected by all of us whose lives he touched.
Our sincere condolences go out to Sheila, our dear friend since grade school days.

Sheila and family,
My thoughts are with you and your family at this tough time. Ken was a true gentleman and always a pleasure to engage in a conversation with at the club. I am sure he has already played a round of golf with Doug and Eddie.
Most heartfelt condolences to the family . I knew Ken from Ford . ??
So very sorry to hear of Ken’s passing. Ken was a long time friend from our golf days at Greenhills.

So sorry to hear of Ken’s passing. Ken was a wonderful co-worker for many many years – he and I had constant discussions and dealings with a wide variety of matters and he was a treasure to work with.
I know he loved his curling and golf – I would often see him on the course at Greenhills. A friendly wave and hello was usually the pattern and that will be the lasting memory of him for me.
Sheila & family. Ken was a great guy and we will always remember our happy times together at The Villages, golfing dinners and special nights enjoying each others company. Also special days at Ford. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Remember he is only a whisper away.. Luv ya Bert & Jan??
Dear Sheila- we were so sorry to learn of Ken’s passing. You had a good life together. I hope your memories will be of comfort.
To My Dear Friend Sheila:
As you know I am out of town on vacation and cannot attend Ken’s “Celebration of Life” on Saturday Feb. 11th. I will be there with you in spirit and I hope you will feel my arms wrapped around you in comfort for your loss.
You and Ken were fortunate enough to have a long, loving marriage and it was obvious that you were still in love until the day he left you. Stay strong and be comforted by the many sweet memories of your life together.
Much love . . . your friend Riva xx
Ken was great fellow worker @ Ford, he was always a happy go lucky guy, we shared alot of laves over the years! Ken rest in peace, you will be missed! To the family stay strong!
Sheila – our thoughts & prayers have your back as you cope with the loss of your beloved Ken. I had many good golf games with Ken but what I enjoyed most was sharing our mutual interest in cooking. He truly was a connoisseur of great tastes in the kitchen.
Worked with Ken for many years at Ford. He was a great co-worker, always willing to help when needed. Will always remember the office “business” lunches at GTs in Port Stanley.
Sheila,
My condolences to you, your family and friends. I worked with Ken at Ford for 10 years in the Finance department. A great co-worker and yes, we had some fun lunches , even after his retirement. He always spoke so highly of you, loved you so much, you were his world. That’s what I remember the most.
