Obituary
STEVENS, BRIAN……
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Brian Terrance Stevens at Victoria Hospital, London, On., on Friday, Nov.4/22 in his 76th year. Brian was the beloved husband and best friend of Judi (Cunningham), most loved dad of Ben (Kathy), Jonathan (Mandy) and Erin (Daniel) Silverstein and dearly loved grandpa of Jordan, Jarrett, Caleb, Allison and Jonah. Fondly rembered by the mother of his children Sue Ferri.
Brian was the devoted son of Alfred and Florence (Olsen) Stevens (both deceased), brother of Stephanie Phillips (deceased) and uncle of Mark Phillips (Jenn). Survived by many cousins and by Judi’s extended family in Guelph.
Brian experienced declining health for the past several years, but we are happy he had private times with each of his children this past week and had a very peaceful passing early in the morning after reaching out to Judi on the phone. His love for his family was beyond words and Brian always looked forward to deep conversations with his children and visits from his grandchildren and friends. He will be greatly missed. Sports occupied a huge part of his life from playing rugby in university, coaching his kids in baseball and being a supportive Dad with rugby, baseball and waterpolo. His later years were spent watching college and NFL games and more recently Formula 1 racing. Even Judi has become a fan!
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held Friday, November 11, 2022 from 1:00-3:30 pm at the A. Millard George Reception Centre, 60 Ridout Street South, London (located on the south east corner of parking lot). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson’s Society of Southwestern Ontario or the Pulmonary Hypertension Association of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
