Obituary
REQUINA, Wilma…
Peacefully with family at her side, on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Victoria Hospital, London, Wilma passed away in her 60th year. Beloved soulmate of Perry Requina for 25 years. Proud mama of Kim (Larsen), Miki, Myka and Milo. Dear sister of Alma and Rick (Jona). Wilma will be lovingly remembered by the Requina and Calica families. Cherished daughter of Pedro and Francing and daughter-in-law of Dodong and Lily. She will also be missed by her loving friends, many colleagues and all who knew her.
Wilma was full of life. She loved to laugh, smile, socialize, sing, dance, eat – especially with family and friends, and loved capturing every moment with pictures. She was artistic in many ways including baking, jewelry making, and scrapbooking. She was a fashionista, but on a budget and was proud of it. She was hardworking, loved what she did and the people she worked with and for. Wilma was a woman of faith, prayed fervently, worshiped whole-heartedly, and served passionately.
Family and friends are welcomed for visitation on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Wilma may be made to Teen Challenge Canada, Lambeth Box 777, London, ON N6P 1R6. Please specify in Wilma’s memory when making your donation. Sis Wilma, you will be missed by us (Sis Rose and myself). You were such a fun-loving person, always with a smile. We had fun together at the GCF Choir. You were always ahead not only with fashion but with tech as well with your always ready cellphone to take selfies and groupies. ?? You’re now in a better place where there’s no more pain and suffering. Til we meet again (but not so soon, ha? 🙂 )…
With love,
Tom and Toots
