Obituary
PRATT, Margaret…
Peacefully with her family by her side at Victoria Hospital, London, Margaret Pratt passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022 in her 83rd year. Loving wife of Thomas Pratt for nearly 56 years. Adored mom of Jason Pratt (Krista), Jeffrey Pratt (Natalie), and Christina Amaral (Franco). Proud and dearly loved Nana of Chelsea and Hannah Pratt, Cameron and Charles Pratt, and Hayden, Sephra and Tristan Amaral. Sister-in-law of Joan and Beth Tarcza. Predeceased by her siblings John and Joseph Tarcza and her parents Charles and Emma Tarcza. Margaret will also be fondly remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Born in Hamilton, ON, Margaret spent her childhood growing up on her family tobacco farm, residing in Vanessa (near Delhi, ON). Once she completed her schooling, she worked as a legal secretary at professional law offices in both Delhi and London, ON.
She was married to Thomas in 1966 after a very quick courtship, settling in London, where they built their forever home and started a family. She had a love of music, playing the piano and singing with the Sweet Adelines choir. Also, anyone that dropped by her home would appreciate her love of gardening, which showcased her majestic flower gardens. She will also be fondly remembered for her Hungarian heritage and cooking. She was an amazing cook and loved to host dinner parties with family and friends.
Marg, along with her husband Tom, truly demonstrated authentic love, building a strong marriage and friendship. They both had a passion for travel, extensively visiting many countries and continents throughout their marriage.
Her proudest accomplishment was that of her three children, whom she taught love, respect, and family values. She had so much love to give, not only to her children, but also to her seven grandchildren. She truly lived her best life with no regrets!
Family and friends are welcomed for visitation on Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South. Cremation to take place. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 2 pm at St. Justin’s Catholic Church, 855 Jalna Boulevard, London. Future family interment in Oakland Cemetery, London.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, P.O. Box 27056, Masonville P.O., 60 North Centre Road, London, ON N5X 3X6. Online condolences, memories and photographs shared at www.amgfh.com
