Grant and I met when I assisted him with ‘ the paperwork’ for his UK ‘family adventure’ in the mid 80s. Fifteen years later, we became ‘golf buddies’. Anyone who interacted with Grant was smiling at the end of the interaction.
Ted and I were neighbours of Grant and Anna for many years, used to walk our dog, stop and have a chat often. I moved away in 2016 as Ted passed 10 years ago. My sympathies to Anna and the family, it was a great area to raise children. God Bless
Dear Ann and Family,
So sorry to hear of Grants passing. Sending our love from our whole family to yours.
Apologies for not being able to attend the visitation as we are visiting Pete and Ingrid.
Our hearts are with you .
We are so sorry to learn of Grant’s passing. He was a teaching colleague, a curling friend and we had many mutual friends. He was considerate, kind, and lots of fun. Our deepest condolences to you, Anna, and your family.
Grant was a wonderful man and friend. I was very lucky to spend many hours with him on both local golf courses and golf trips over a span of some forty plus years. I will really miss him. He will remain in my thoughts.
What a shock. I spoke to Grant at the end of February. He was ill, but expected to recover very soon.
Grant and I were best friends for more than 60 years. There is no one to fill the empty space. Ed
Dear Anna, Brian, Whitney and family,
We were very sad to hear of Grant’s passing. He was a lovely man in every way – smart, funny, generous and caring. We share in your loss, and will keep you in our prayers.
Grant will be missed by many, but most deeply perhaps by Whitney and her two beautiful boys Rowan and Riley. Prayers and hugs to all the family.
Dear Anna and family,
David and I were saddened to hear of Grant’s passing. I’ll miss his cheery smiles and chats at St G’s. My heart also goes out to Whitney and her boys. Please know you are all held in prayer at this time.
Sincerely, Cathie Finch
Our deepest sympathies to Anna and the family on the passing of Grant, a friendly, kind, and caring person who loved his family so very much.
Grant’s wit and wisdom will be missed at St.George’s Anglican Church. He always participated fully at meetings of the Parish Council and enjoyed moving the motion to terminate the meeting. He was very kind to me when I was unable to drive a motor vehicle.
My sincere condolences to his wife and family.
I am sure that Grant will Rest In Peace and will Rise in Glory.
Hi Anna and family. Joanna and I are thinking of you in your time of loss.
My children and I are so sorry to hear of Grant’s passing. He was a fun loving, gentle, and kind man. Our deepest condolences to Anna, Brian,
Darryl, Whitney and family.

Mr. Wilson you were an amazing teacher! May you Rest In Peace. Sending my condolences to your family during this difficult time.
Dear Anna, Brian, Darryl, Ava, Whitney, Rowan and Riley,
We want to offer you our deepest condolences. There are no words to express the loss that you and your family must be feeling. We have many great memories of the summers we spent in Muskoka together. Grant was always ready to offer a tube ride or willing to share a drink and a chat at the bonfire. I have been blessed to have known Grant my entire life. He was such a kind, considerate and loving person. He will be forever in our hearts. Sincerely, Michele, Mike, Steve, Brendan, & Ethan Specht
Mr. Wilson was one of my favourite teachers. I loved Geography and to be able to go away with him and Mr. Snelgrove and their wives was incredible. Being a 17 year old “geo-traveller” in England for 14 days was one of the best high school experiences I had and one of my most cherished memories. Thank you for that. RIP.
My condolences to the family of Grant. I did spend a few Friday afternoons discussing life with Grant and the boys over a beer. I will definitely miss him. I have made a donation to the Boy’s and Girls Club in his memory as young people were a priority in his life.
God bless.
Dear Anna and family, deeply sorry to learn of Grant’s passing. He was such a kind, intelligent, and helpful person. I will never forget how he would become inspired to check out a great book while in the midst of reshelving them!
He was quick with a smile, a joke, and made others around him feel better. May many memories of love lift you all up at this difficult time.
He will be missed. He was always ready for fun and had such a positive attitude. Grant was a great teacher and very supportive of other Montcalm staff. My deepest condolences.
So sorry to hear about Grant. He always had a smile on his face that he loved to share with others! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.
To the Wilson family,
Sending condolences at this most difficult time. I feel blessed to have so many wonderful memories of Grant: playing cards, New Year’s Eve’s, vacations and trips. I’m not sure if I’d put the slideshows in the same category, but they were very memorable. I loved eating dinner at his home as his ice cream portions were always the best. He was always someone you could count on. I’ll certainly miss his warm smile and laughter. Through his actions and interactions, he’s left the world a better place.
Sincerely,
Tara Phillips (Mackenzie)
Dear Anna and family, we were shocked and saddened to learn of Grant’s death, our sincere sympathy. We remember Grant as a caring, friendly man who always had a smile on his face. We are holding you in our hearts as you mourn the loss of your beloved Grant.
Dear Anna (& Brian and Darryl):
We have fond memories of Grant, with Phil, helping coach T-ball. Phil certainly knew less about baseball than most of the children, but Grant coached him too! We all had FUN, and for us that time is still unforgettable.
We share your grief at Grant’s passing.
I am so sorry for the loss of Grant. This really broke my heart. We were best neighbors, I will never forgive his greetings and lovely chats. We used to watch over each others houses when ones of us travels. He was such a kind and great man, always active, always taking care of his beloved ones, and watching him with his lovely grand son filled my heart with love and laughter. I can never forget him and he will be so much missed.
Mrs Wilson and family.
I was saddened to hear of Mr Wilsons passing. I use to work with Dale, and when ever we came to your home I always felt welcome. Had a chance to chat with Mr Wilson a few times, he usually was on the run doing something for someone, but he always had time for a smile and a kind word. My deepest sympathies to you and your family
Grant was a wonderful support and mentor to me as I entered my teaching career over thirty years ago. I will always value his generous care for me and others. Requiescat in pace.
