Dear Dave, Sheila and all Cathy’s family.
So very sorry to hear of Cathy’s passing. Whenever I might see her, I always enjoyed talking with her, as she was such a friendly person. This picture of her captures her personality so well.
While her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, may you all find comfort knowing you will see her again one day, and in the many memories you have of her.

Cathy will be so missed, the music she played was anointed and blessed so many. We’ll all meet in Heaven some day and hear her play Heavenly music. We’ll miss Cathy.
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Cathy was truly a ray of sunshine. Her smile was infectious and reminded me so much of her mother. She played the piano effortlessly at Byron Community Church as well as hosting many wonderful gatherings at their home. I know she would have been the best grandmother to all her beautiful grandchildren. Please accept our deepest sympathies to your entire family. Barry & Ruth McDowell

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world give do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
My deepest sympany to you Kevin, David, Sheila, Ryan, David, Johnathan and grandchildren. Cathy will be greatly missed.
Cathy (Piano Girl) and I first met in 1974 when we worked together at Central Secondary School. They say a lot of people will walk through your life but only a special few will leave footprints on your heart. When I last spoke to Cathy I told her that she wouldn’t leave a hole….but a huge crater in a lot of lives. She was an exceptional person and a very special, special, friend. So lucky to have had her in my life.
Cathy was always a bright light when she entered a room. Her strong faith was evident to all especially in her last days. She will be sorely missed. Love and prayers to Cathy’s entire family.
I’ll always remember Cathy as one of the most caring and generous women I’ve ever met. Her legacy inspires and will continue to inspire to what love looks like. Prayers ?? for all those grieving her loss.
It is with a heavy heart that I send my condolences. Cathy was very special to so many people. How fortunate I am to have had her in my life since working at Central all those years ago.
Your beautiful smile was so infectious.
You will be missed.
We have such wonderful memories of Cathy over the years that we were in Byron. You will miss her, but we can be assured we will see her again someday. Our prayers for Kevin and the family.
Our sincere condolances to the Penfound and Jackson families. God has another angel in his presence.
Cathy’s energy always lit up the room. Her smile was as good as a hug. We have lots of great memories of corn roasts and events in the Penfound backyard thanks to Cathy and Kevin’s hard work and welcoming spirit. Cathy’s gift of music blessed so many in all the different settings. Cathy brought joy and laughter with her. We have been blessed by her life. We know she’s making the best kind of music in heaven right now, but she will be so missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to Kevin and the boys and their families.
Kevin, Ryan, Dave and Jon,
I am so sad for you as you grieve the passing of Cathy. She brought so much joy to others through her laughter, smile and music.
Love in Him, Gillian
Dear Kevin & family, David & Sheila,
Words cannot express the heaviness of heart that we are feeling. Cathy always said, “Be a blessing” in a letter, in a note, in a
phone call. She was and is a blessing to all who knew her and to those who met her. She used her talents for the Lord and her
heavenly Father will say to Cathy
“Well done my good and faithful
servant”.
You are forever in my heart my
dearest friend. Love Edie
Kevin and family,
We are so sorry to hear of Cathy’s passing. What a shock. Her many Godly talents will not be forgotten. She touched many lives especially with her music. We are praying for you and the family.
We were so shocked to hear that Cathy had gone to be with Jesus . We want to send you our love and prayers . She was such a beautiful soul and will be missed . We are in Florida and will not be home till the 13 but will be in touch .
We are saddened by this news. I grew up down the road from Cathy and Kevin and their boys. She was like another mom to me. My brother and I spent alot of time at their house. She never grew tired of us lol. I sometimes would just chat with her and she always had baked goodies on hand. She started teaching me piano at the age of 5. She was so patient and was an amazing teacher. My love for piano was because of her. I walked away from piano for quite a time but God called me back to it and I am leading worship at church and I often think of her and am so thankful for her influence on my life. We will be praying for you Kevin and your boys and your whole family. Lots of love and prayers Jamie Mellisa and Madison
Dear Kevin & Family,
Very sorry to hear of your beloved
wife’s passing. I remember Cathy with fondness, in the early years with Paul, discovering how musically talented she was at playing the piano and sweet voice singing along with David & Sheila. Her smile was warm and welcoming coupled with a bubbly &. beautiful personality.
Sincere condolences to you and
your family ~ Susan Radford
On Behalf of Heartland Farm Mutual, our deepest sympathies go out to the Penfound family. Luke 23:43 – And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”
Words cannot express the depth of our condolences. Love and hugs to each member of Cathy’s beloved family.
I am honored to have known Cathy and studied under her as a piano student.
I have very fond memories of Tuesday afternoons, when I was a young teenage girl, learning piano from her. Not only was Kathy an accomplished player, but she was a very fine inspiration, that sent me playing professionally into my adult years as a worship artists with my husband.
When my parents informed me, I was truly saddened to hear of her passing at such a young age,
My prayers and condolences go out to the boys and their families.
