Miss Myrtle was a hard worker who served alongside our family and friends at the Chatham summer parties hosted by the late Dr. Leo Oates. She was always willing to serve. She was a gracious hostess who loved her children, grandchildren and family. Condolences to Fawana and the rest of the family. Know that Myrtle is now resting peacefully and comfortably with her God and will remain in our hearts until that glorious day when we all will be reunited in His presence.
Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
to grieve deeply is to love deeply.
With sympathy,
Miss Myrtle was a true gem. She joined the Caribbean Canadian Association of Chatham-Kent and made many valuable contributions. She readily volunteered for all our events and she always had great suggestions on how to engage members and create a greater sense of community. I fondly remember her bringing authentic Caribbean costumes for the kids to wear for Canada Day and lending a hand to prepare delicious meals. I will miss her positive outlook, her kindness and her words of encouragement. My deepest sympathy goes to her family and her many friends.
