Obituary
MILLMAN, Delores Jeanette “Dee” …
Unexpectedly at Victoria Hospital, London, on Thursday February 24, 2022, Delores “Dee” Millman passed away in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Canon William “Bill” Millman (2021), loving mother of Bronwyn Papasideris (Jim). Predeceased by her son Brock (Dayna Knight) and daughter Carole Millman. Cherished Nana of Mia and John Papasideris. Dear sister of Carole Mayo (Tim) and Ted Parker (Lois). Predeceased by brother Leroy Parker (Lou). Fond Aunt and cousin of many.
Delores was a very accomplished, kind, generous and giving person. She was an athletic person who excelled in track and field and golf, a patriot who served in the Royal Canadian Airforce, a scholar, and a true lady. Following graduation from the University of Western Ontario, she began teaching. She was drawn to special education and finished her career teaching students with mental health needs out of Windsor Western Hospital. Always learning, she received her Master of Education in 1988. She retired from teaching in 1991 and moved to Sauble Beach in 1993, which became her happy place. Throughout her years as a Reverend’s wife, a teacher and a mother, Delores gave selflessly to many, rarely asking for anything in return. She was generous with her time, her affection, and her presence.
Despite her recent and tragic losses, Delores remained a fiercely independent person. She hesitated to ask for help, preferring to do most things on her own. She kept up with technology and taught herself how to use mobile phones, texts, and social media to stay current with her children and grandchildren. Delores was a fun-loving woman with a keen sense of humour, who was an avid hockey fan, particularly if the team she was watching was her grandson’s.
Delores loved most to be surrounded by her family. We will dearly miss her presence, her pies and desserts, her smile, and her constant encouragement. Go in peace with Bill, Brock and Carole, dear Dee.

Bronwyn, my condolences to you and your family. So sorry for your loss.
Dear Bronwyn and family, I was sorry to hear of Delores’s unexpected passing. I did not know Delores for very long but, as a member of the St. Anne’s quilting group, had the pleasure of spending time getting to know Delores and learning of her family. She was a lovely lady and I know how much she loved all of you. She was a great quilter, always had a smile and good words to share. I was looking forward to us getting together again at the church after covid. I think her best work will now be done in heaven. She was so very proud of her family.
God bless you Delores, may eternal light shine upon you and may you rest in peace.
Leanne
