Ten Bruggencate, Raelyne Margaret….

It is with great sorrow we announce our beautiful Raelyne Margaret, at 22 months old, passed away on October 22, 2021 at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario. Her passing was tragic and unexpected during what was supposed to be a standard diagnostic medical procedure. We take comfort in knowing that our little girl was taken to heaven and one day, we will see her again.  

Raelyne was born on November 29, 2019 to Rachel and Dave Ten Bruggencate in London, Ontario. She was an extremely happy and active little girl, who brought light with her wherever she went. Her favourite person was her sister, Khaleesia, who was almost always with her, loving on her and enjoying life together. Rae and K did everything together and were the best of friends. Khaleesia misses her Rae Rae immensely.

Raelyne was always happy and always put a smile on everyone’s face, as soon as she stepped into the room. She gave the best kisses and was always up for a cuddle. She was constantly smiling and giggling, and she would share anything with you. She always knew what she wanted, and she wasn’t afraid to tell you. Even her dog, Toby, got bossed around. Raelyne adored babies and was always wanting to be holding and caring for them. She had a special love for all of her baby friends and always wanted to see them.

Her grandparents were some of her favourite people and she always wanted to see them. She would be shrieking with excitement when Oma and Opa (Margaret and Evert Ten Bruggencate) came over and she loved to chase bunnies in their backyard and empty Oma’s plastic container cupboard. She was always asking to go Nana and Papa’s (Wanda and John Tedford) and especially loved kissing and hugging them during video chat, when she couldn’t see them in person. She enjoyed visiting their cottage and always loved the wind in her hair on the boat or when driving in “Nana’s car”.

She will be greatly missed by her great-grandparents (Marina and Ozzie Mugford) who always loved her visits and watching her play.  

Raelyne will be missed greatly by her many aunts and uncles who loved her dearly. She had many different ways of expressing her love towards them – some from super close with cuddles and kisses and some from afar, preferably from across the room. But she loved each and everyone of them immensely. She was affectionately known by them as Raisin, little Rae and Rae Rae.

Raelyne adored her cousins, who will miss her greatly. She will be deeply missed by all her extended family and friends.

The family welcomes you to the visitation, held at Summerside Community Church, London on October 29, 2021 at 11am. The service will follow at 2pm and will also be live streamed. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London and friends and family are welcome.

As this is a celebration of Raelyne’s life, please feel free to wear the clothes you would wear when visiting Raelyne on any given day. Raelyne had a vibrant life and we want to celebrate her.
