Sylvia was a wonderful neighbour
while iving in our VLA subdivision whose compaany I enjoyed for many years,
Sylvia & Don dedicated their time, labour for all of us which we will always remember
Mrs. Smithers was one of those great neighbourhood moms who put up with her children’s friends coming in and out of the house all day. The Smithers were solid community supporters. I particularly remember Mrs. Smithers working with my mom on collecting for hampers for the needy every Christmas. I’m sorry I won’t be able to get to the visitation and tell you this in person.
From the staff at Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer Research Parkwood Institute St. Joseph’s Health Care we send our sincere condolences to the family of Sylvia Smithers. Sandra and Sylvia you you were a wonderful care givers to your mom. God Bless you and your families.
Sylvia, You are dearly remembered. The many times you and Don have welcomed Ruth Ann and I into your home
Your gentle smile while listening to the music in White Oaks United Church
The very large hole you left in our congregation. May you have peace and joy and be reunited with Don
Sandy and Bob and family: Know that we are thinking of you at this time. May your happy memories fill your heart as you make this journey.

Sylvia was such a faithful member at White Oaks United Church. Always a kind word, and a gentle sense of humour. She and Don both are missed.
