CROSBY, Velma Agnes (Clark)………

Passed away peacefully at The Manor Village, London on Friday, May 28, 2021 at the age of 91.  Beloved wife of the late Bruce ‘Bing’ Crosby (2014).  Cherished mother of Kim Hill (Robert) of Comber & Mike Crosby (Jane) of London.  Loving grandmother of Candace Crosby (Brett Fitzpatrick) & Steven Crosby.   Great grandmother of Brody.  Dear sister of Bill Clark (Lynne).  Predeceased by her sister Shirley Reimers.  Also survived by 5 nephews.  Sadly missed by many friends including 3 kindergarten classmates, Donalda, Marion & Marg.  Val enjoyed duck carving, playing bridge, reading, shopping & spending time with her family.   She took great pride in her well decorated & maintained home.  The family would like to thank the staff at Chartwell Riverside Retirement Residence & The Manor Village for their care & compassion.  Rest in peace Mom, we love you forever and always.  Cremation has taken place with a private family service to be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London at a later date.  As an expression of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to the A.     We are truly sorry to hear of the passing of Val. Val & Bing were the best neighbours on Jellicoe. We have so many great memories of the friendship we shared.

    Dear Kim and Mike, again I express my sadness on Val’s recent death but also how fortunate I was to know her for 85 plus years. Now she at at peace and with dear Bing.

    I am very saddened to hear about Val’s passing. She was a good neighbour and friend to me. We shared some enjoyable lunches and lots of laughs.

    Kim, Mike and families, I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. Back in the day we loved to hear Bing’s latest “Velma-isms” which were always hilarious. Of course he adored her. She opened her home to HR types for many special occasions and we were treated to their hospitality and amazing food, drink and great laughter! Our sincere condolences – you had such a great mom!
