I have great memories going out for breakfast after church service with Ken and a few others from the church. He would reminisce about the old days when he was in the forces and about combat. He was a very special person to me and others. He will be greatly missed. Debbie, his spirit will be there and always will be. We never walk alone and the memory never dies either. God bless. Bonnie and Felix.
Dear Debbie and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you this sad time. I have known your Dad since I was a little kid on Cherry St. A dear dear man. Will always be missed and loved. Your friend always Suzzette

When Ken mentioned family, which was often, his love for them was always obvious. He lived for his family. He spoke often of his wife, Ethel, his daughter, Debbie, and Debbie’s children, Chris and Leanne.
Ken made the world a better place. Always cheerful, friendly; a willing and able worker who’s word was his bond.
Having worked with Ken at Tuckey’s the last few years, before he retired (again) in his 80’s, it was always an event when the crew gathered to install or remove the roof on the garden centre there.Such a great guy to work with. Quick with a joke and a ready hand.
A familiar face at St. James Westminster, Ken’s fingerprints could be found on much of the work done there in earlier years as well.
Good to know you Ken. See you in a bit.

I met Ken 24 years ago when I was 16 years old starting my first job at Tuckey’s Home Hardware. From the first day we worked together, Ken took me under his wing and for 11 years we were joined at the hip. I remember him and I moving bags of topsoil, stocking shelves, or Ken teaching me something. While we worked, I loved to listen to him tell me stories about his time in the army, about his family who he loved so much, and he would sometimes give me advice about life. He would always say to me…”straighten up soldier” and we would give each other a salute.
The last time I saw Ken was at my wedding 13 years ago. Even though I didn’t stay in contact with Ken over the years, I always got updates on how he was doing through my parents.
I will always cherish our time together.

Debbie and Family
My sincere condolences to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.
This precious man was my uncle and hero.
He served his country.
He loved his family and I always knew how much he loved me.
We shared a close connection with Yarmouth Nova Scotia where we grew up and enjoyed visiting.
I remember the doll he brought me from Germany.
To know him was to love him.
We will miss him and never forget him.
Our loss, heaven’s gain.
Rest in peace.
Love Barb & Howard
