STAGE, Thomas Stewart….

Stewart passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 in his 86th year in London, ON. Stew was born in Simcoe, ON, in January of 1936. Loving husband of Mary “Jean” Stage. Son of the late Harold and Doris Stage. Loving father to Heather Haywood (late Chris Haywood) of Simcoe and Greg Stage of St. Thomas. Stepfather of Louise Silverthorn (Scott) of Brantford and Lynn Foerter (Chris) of London. Proud and loving Grandfather to granddaughters Rosalie Mattison (Jake) of Aylmer and Vanessa Stage of Ottawa. He will also be missed by his 2 great-granddaughters Greer and Joni Mattison.

Stew loved to take road trips both in Canada and the USA from coast to coast. He enjoyed many years of camping, and loved anything to do with trains. He went on many a car rally with his little red Austin Mini. He also had a deep interest in doing Genealogy research on the Stage family.

Stew’s employment in years gone by included International Harvester (London), Jackson’s Bakery (London), the London Board of Education (London), Mitchell Co-op (Mitchell), and Press Tran Industries (St. Thomas). After fighting his illness for the last few years, Stew has earned his rest and will be sadly missed. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held by invitation only. Interment in Norfolk Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe. Donations to the Alzheimer Society London & Middlesex, 435 Windermere Road, London, ON N5X 2T1 or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
