Obituary
RICE, Sally Ruth (nee Lancaster)….
It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the peaceful passing of Sally on Sunday, December 27, 2020. Missed and loved dearly by her daughter Louise Short (Pete) and son Stephen Rice (Robyn). Predeceased by her son Robert Rice, who she adored. Beloved wife of the late Wallace Rice. Sally will always be in the hearts of her grandchildren, Brandon, Sarah, Allyson, Heather, Trevor and Andrea. Dear sister of Joseph Lancaster. Predeceased by her sisters Nita Lancaster, Joan Gamble and brother Bill Lancaster. She will be greatly missed by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. If over the years you called Bell Canada or St. Joseph’s Hospital and received a wonderful caring voice at the other end, you were probably speaking to Sally as she spent all of her working years as a switchboard operator with both of these companies. Sally will be remembered by all of those who knew her as a loving, kind, thoughtful, funny, beautiful and graceful woman. A celebration of life is planned for 2021. Arrangements entrusted with A. Millard George Funeral Home, 519-433-5184. Online condolences, memories and photographs shared at www.amgfh.com

Sorry to hear about the passing of Sally whom I worked with at St. Joseph Hospital I often met her at the Metro store she always was smiling and we spoke briefly of time at St. Joes . Rest In Peace. Lois
We will miss Sally, she was a friend to our family in many ways. When we went to visit she made us feel that we were so welcome and she was glad to see us. Her smile and positive outlook will be remembered.
