Obituary
SNELL, Pauline…
It’s with great sadness and loss that we announce the passing of Pauline S. Snell (nee Hunt) in her 85th year after a long stay at University Hospital, London. She is survived by her husband Gerald “Gerry” Snell. She is predeceased by her parents J. Douglas Hunt and Evelyn Kathleen Hunt (Smiley) and her step-mother Leta Hunt (Pressey). She is survived by her siblings Nancy Harrington (Ken), Kelowna BC., Glen Hunt, Dorchester, ON and Dennis Hunt (Susan), Kalkaska, MI. Also missed by her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews and extended family. Fondly remembered by her friends Irene King, Nancy Springer and Kaye Mustos.
Pauline led an interesting life of dedication and successfully taught elementary students for over 37 years. Early in her work years she also took time to complete the X-Ray Technician program at Victoria Hospital, London and was a graduate of Western University with a BA in Fine Arts. She was always busy with her many hobbies centered on charity and helping others which was evident by her dedicated services at Oakridge Presbyterian Church, where she was a member for 40 years. Pauline enjoyed activities such as choir, quilting group, church decoration, donating much time to helping complete work in the church offices and much more.
She has had amazing energy – right into her 80’s! She leaves a huge absence in her home with Gerry and their cat Chloe. Her faith as a true Christian was very strong and unending. Pauline has left us with a wonderful pattern for all to copy for a happy, successful life.
Gerry and the Snell and Hunt families profoundly thank all friends and relatives for your unending support and friendships. You have all made Pauline’s life so rewarding to her. God bless you all. In keeping with Pauline’s wishes no funeral service will take place. Donations to Oakridge Presbyterian Church, 970 Oxford Street West, London, ON N6H 1V4 or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted with A. Millard George Funeral Home, 519-433-5184. Online condolences, memories and photographs shared at amgfh.com

Gerry and Pauline’s Family,
I taught with Pauline at Willowdale Public School for a half dozen years or so. We had a great little school with a great staff. For me, Pauline was a big part of those fond memories.
She was very generous. Just the mention of something on your wish list for your classroom would set her in motion. Magically, a set of novels or whatever had been mentioned in a morning chat appeared on your desk. No fuss, no recognition wanted!
I’m glad our paths crossed! She was a good woman and friend. My condolences to all of you.
Graham
We have heavy hearts saying good bye to our Aunt Pauline. There is another angel in heaven (a feisty one at that!) watching over us now. You will be missed. Sending our love,
Kerry, Bret and James
