Obituary
LINDSAY, Isabelle Lena….
Isabelle Lindsay passed away peacefully at University Hospital, London on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the age of 95.
Beloved wife of the late Ross Lindsay (1992). Dear mother of Steve Lindsay and his wife Susan. Cherished grandmother of Donald (Jessica) and David (Christa). Dear sister of Kay Mosiuk, Rose Haynes, Fred Habok, and Hazel Bardash. Isabelle will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
We have been inspired by Isabelle’s hard work ethic. We appreciate her kindness and generosity. Isabelle cared deeply for her extended family. Isabelle was a long-time member of Oakridge Presbyterian Church. We were blessed by her excellent cooking. She was an avid gardener with a meticulous lawn. She loved solving crossword puzzles and bowling.
We thank Horizon Place Retirement Home for the excellent care they provided. We are very grateful for the many friendly visits from Richard and Cathy Vandierendonk and Lois Lake to Isabelle in the retirement home.
It is with sad hearts that we say good-bye but are encouraged by God’s promise:
And I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever (Psalm 23:6)
Due to current restrictions, a private family service will take place. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. In lieu of flowers, donations in Isabelle’s memory can be made to Oakridge Presbyterian Church. Arrangements entrusted with A. Millard George Funeral Home, 519-433-5184. Just wanted to express my sympathies on your loss and hope that you are being comforted this time. Marty
I consider myself very fortunate to have had Mrs. Lindsay as my neighbour as I grew up. She often told me stories of when I would run over to her house to play with her as a young child. As I grew up she would always be around to chat and share with me stories of her life. I am thankful my children were able to meet Mrs. Lindsay and get to know her. I hope my daughter, Isabelle will have many of the same qualities as Mrs. Lindsay.
We were saddened to hear of the passing of Isabelle, our dear friend and life long next door neighbour.
She was a very kind and pleasant lady.
Our family all have fond memories of our neighbour “Mrs Lindsay”,
She will be missed by all of us,
Thank you to all who expressed your condolences here. The family appreciates your kind words and sympathy..
