MOHAMMED, Amir Kenneth…
June 7, 1936 – December 27, 2019
At 83 years of age, Ken passed peacefully at home on Friday, December 27, 2019. Beloved husband of 63 years to Kathleen (Kim) (nee Lalla). Father of Selvon Mohammed (Alisha), Karon Juigalli (Gordon), Lystra Shimla, Judy Kowlessar (Mukesh), Charmaine Mohammed and Deanne Hammond. Grandfather of Aaron Shimla, Nishan and Jameelah Mohammed and Kayla and Stefan Kowlessar. He will be profoundly missed by his immediate family, and his siblings Sheik Mohammed (deceased), Dolly Ali (deceased), Narisha Hussein, Habib Hamid, Shyroon Mohammed, Nazmoon Gopaul, Mymoona Ganesh, Shaheed Hamid, Jennifer Lee Qui, Wahid Hamid and Sherifa Hamid. He will also be missed by many extended family and friends here and abroad.
After obtaining his degree at the prestigious Naparima College, he had an exceptional career as a lab technician, which he excelled at while working at Texaco Refineries in Trinidad and Tobago. In 1971, he immigrated to Canada bringing the whole family to a new and wonderful life filled with hopes, dreams and opportunities for a bright future. After working at several jobs, he owned and operated his business Gemini Auto Sales until retirement. He had a great love for his family and particularly his grandchildren. He loved animals especially horses and his cherished cats. He had a heartfelt passion for owning, training and racing horses.
In accordance with Ken’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11 am at St. George’s Presbyterian Church, 1475 Dundas Street, London. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society London & Middlesex, 624 Clarke Road, London, ON N5V 3K5. Arrangements entrusted with A. Millard George Funeral Home, 519-433-5184.
