Whip was such an incredible man… During all of my 20 years in working in Circulation at the LFP – Whip was always in his mail room leadership role there to assist / support everyone… He also was a tremendously generous and giving soul… I felt honoured to have been able to have known Whip… He will be greatly missed 🙁

He was a wonderful Uncle that will be dearly missed. We love you all.
I knew Bill during the old Thundermug days. He was a hard worker even then; he had a quick wit was always fun to be with. An easy smile and a kind face. I will remember him with fondness. My sincere condolences to his family.
Bill, it was an honor to work for you. You were a true gentleman and an excellent boss. I always worked extra hard for you, didn’t want to let you down! I’m sorry you didn’t get to enjoy a very long retirement. RIP, Bill, you’re gone way too soon.
So sorry for your loss Kory. May he R.I.P.

My Deepest Condolences to Karen , Kate, Kory, Nick ( Becky) . Knowing Bill and working with him for 28 yrs I am sad to hear of his passing. I still remember our last day at the Lfp saying goodbye as Bill put out his hand to wish me good luck & I looked into his eyes and said ” oh no after 28yrs Bill I want a hug ” he came forward we hugged and he and teared up . Anyone who knows Bill & I ” we don’t tear up ” that day was special & I truly miss my Lfp family.I will keep Bill’s hug in my heart for ever and think of you all often.?
Our family sends condolences to Bill’s family. We will miss Bill at the racetrack. He was always so kind and genuine and we enjoyed our time visiting with him. I first met Bill at the LFP 30 years ago and was happy to re-connect with him at the track and see him enjoy his retirement. He was a true race fan and we will remember him fondly.

Karen and family – our deepest sympathy on the loss of a terrific man. We both worked with Whip for many years at the Free Press. He had so many great qualities we admired – he was always direct, told great stories and made us smile with his wry sense of humour. He always spoke with pride about you and the kids. We hope happy memories of your many years together will bring you peace in the coming days. Sandi and Darrell Laird
