Obituary
GEIGER, Audrey O.
In her 98th year after a brief stay at Parkwood Hospital, London, Ontario on Friday, November 15, 2019. Audrey died the way she lived, with a zest for life and love for her family and friends. Trained as a social worker, Audrey, with her husband of 71 years, Rev. Gordon R. Geiger, served congregations in Creighton Mine, Binbrook, Lucknow, Essex, St. Catharines, Windsor, Sarnia, and at Riverside United in London. The many friendships she developed along the way, some long and enduring, were her joy. After Gordon’s official retirement, the couple travelled widely in North America, camping across the prairies many times, and taking trips and cruises to Europe. Audrey was predeceased by her son Alan Geiger and her brother Elwood Thompson. She was lovingly attended by her children and husband during her final short illness, during which she and her family were grateful for the caring attention of staff at Longworth Retirement Home and Parkwood Hospital. Audrey is sorely missed and joyfully celebrated by Gordon, Roy Geiger and his wife Peggy Roffey, Anne Koemsted and her husband Ted, Joan Geiger-Dow and her husband Daniel Dow, Ross Geiger and his wife Geri and Paul Geiger and his wife Marianna Boyd, 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and her many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Audrey is survived by sisters Mary Beresford and Ruth Larmor. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 12-1 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London where the funeral service will be held at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, 804- 2 Lansing Square, North York, ON M2J 4P8. Audrey was a great bridge partner – we had so much fun. She got better as she got older. I will miss her.
Our deepest sympathy on the passing of a kind and lovely woman. We have fond memories of the Christmas that Audrey and Gordon shared with the Boyd Families in Nova Scotia and the time spent with us at Paul and Marianna’s cottage in Arisaig, NS. May you receive comfort from the many happy memories of a life well lived.
Our heartfelt condolences to Ross and Geri Geiger.

Gordon and family …..please accept my condolences on the passing of Audrey. She showed me such kindness and patience when I took over the “mantle” of the Church Library, she was a fountain of information and I always valued her words of wisdom. She was always ready with a smile, and I will always remember her laughter. She is truly a treasure and will be missed.
Dearest Gordon & all of Audrey’s family,
What a treasure Audrey was. Enjoyed our chats & giggles as we visited while I cut her hair. Gordon & Audrey were a pleasure to watch together, there love for each other was so evident. We loved having them visit our salon. She spoke so proudly of all her family, I feel like I knew them all. She loved you all so much. I can still hear her laugh, & feel her presence. She will be missed but not forgotten. Big hugs to Gordon, & ALL YOUR FAMILY, MY THOUGHTS & PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU! Peggie the hairdresser.
Aunt Audrey was such a kind deeply caring person who always gave you her full attention when talking with her. She genuinely cared and always made me feel special and loved. That was Jesus in her. My deepest sympathies on the loss of a beautiful wife mother. Grandma and aunty. Her memories will keep in our hearts and we will miss her. Much love and prayers to everyone that you would feel Gods comfort and peace at this time of sorrow. Love you all.
To all the Geiger family my sincere condolences with the passing of Audrey. Many memories with all of you came to mind.
