Barb , We are all so sorry to hear of Davids passing. It was nice that we were able to see him at the Ben’s Wedding on May 18 , not knowing that this would be the last time we would be talking to him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all . GOD Bless The Junkin Family
On behalf of the board and staff of Compassion Canada I extend our deepest love and appreciation for David’s life and for the significant investment of time and energy he made in this ministry. His 15 years of serving on our board – 5 of those as board chair- and the untold hours of counsel and advice has left a tremendous legacy. David was passionate about the cause of releasing children from poverty. He relentlessly pursued excellence in ensuring Compassion Canada maintained the highest standards of accountability. Our love and prayers go out to Barb and all the family.
David Fischer was a man of great character and honour.
Throughout his years in association with Compassion Canada David was always very kind and supportive of me, both personally and in my role at Compassion. I will always treasure the wisdom he shared in the extensive time he devoted to me, in several personal mentorship sessions in the year 2011. David and I studied and discussed Ruth Haley Barton’s book, “Strengthening the Soul of Your Leadership: Seeking God in the Crucible of Ministry.”
With deep thankfulness for David’s life and witness for Christ, Dorothy and I extend our love and prayers to Barb and the family.
Barb, I am so sorry that David was taken from you so soon. He was a true gentleman and had such a great sense of humour. Although his final years were a challenge, I know that you have so many happy memories to keep you strong at this sad time in your life.
Our deepest sympathy to David’s family, especially his daughters Amberley, Natalie and Rebecca.
Wishing you comfort and strength in the days to come
I had the pleasure of working with David when he shared his passion, knowledge and expertise as a volunteer with St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation. I will always remember him for his strong commitment to his community and his compassion for others. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time.
Sincere condolences to Barb and family on the loss of David.
May all of your good memories comfort you at this time .
Peace and Blessings
Lasby & Carole

We met David at Lerner and Lerner when he prepared our wills many years ago. I remember the last time we visited with him and he was having difficutly walking and he told told us he had some new health issues. He was always such a professional man but always interested in our farming life as well. May he rest in peace!!
