Obituary
BOOKER, Hazell Mary…
If you are reading this, I didn’t win the game, Lymphoma vs Hazell. The game finished on April 23, 2018. We went to a tie breaker, but I was not successful. To my beloved sisters Gwenda, Barbara and their respective husbands Roy and Steve. Thank you for your never-ending support and love. Your lovely families have stayed in touch also.
To my many friends who have been with me throughout this journey that include Rudy K, Anne H, Maria M, Lyn M, Claudia F, Sybil & Darren, Pat C, Don P, Peter A, Betsy K, Michael & Debbie. Special thanks to my cousin Bob H & Deb especially as they will take care of Teagan, my dog and Miss Tilly, my cat. Your love for them means a lot. Thanks too for the kindness and care of Dr. J. Mangal and her talented team at the London Regional Cancer Clinic. I have one last trip planned as I’m going back home to England.

RiP my friend. My life was blessed by having you in it. Will miss you and your free fun loving spirit.
Rest in peace my friend. You lived a good fight.
Love and Peace to Hazell. The memories I have of us will always be in my heart.
RIP Hazel. You put up quite a fight not only on tennis court, but in your battle with cancer. We will all miss you on the tennis courts at the N.L.O.C.C.
So sorry to read of Hazell’s passing.
We first met when Hazell worked at the tv station, had lots of laughs working the mutuels. Our paths next crossed literally on the street on her wedding day! We both had a Polish connection!!Years past and we reacquainted at GM -again sharing stories, and laughs. Did not expect to see you again -only in a picture- will always remember the smile & glint in your eye … Rest peacefully.
Remembering all the fun times, BBQs, stories, joy and laughter we shared over many years as dear friends. Your love of life, joyful spirit, strength and courage are gifts we carry with us. Wishing you eternal peace and rest. Sybil Israelian & Darren Scott
I will cherish the memories of our time spent together in London back in the 80’s.. I am grateful our friendship continued even though we were miles apart. I will miss you friend. Rest In Peace Hazell.
My Dear Hazel.. I will always remember your thoughtfulness when you offered to look for a little pair of glass (plastic) princess slippers for me to give to my granddaughter for her birthday..You were going to the States and I couldn’t find a pair here…..then you refused payment ..WOW !
Hazell you are now an angel in heaven as you were on earth. I will always remember the GM work times, fun times and laughs we shared. I am sorry that I hadn’t reached out to you sooner! Til we meet again…cheers!
Monday April 23rd, 2018 – in your words, the game against lymphoma is over. “I went to a tie breaker but I was not successful”
You maintained your passion for tennis, your clever wit and British humour until the end.
You lost this last game but you are the champion. An act to follow in your show of strength and bravery, your lust for life, your “all in” energy and discipline, your caring friendship.
No words are coming to me right now beyond those few, only emotions…
May you Rest In Peace dear Hazell.
Forever in my heart, and in my thoughts on every walk with Taz

Our sincere condolences to Hazell’s family. We will always remember the good times shared with Hazell and Teagen at our home. Rest in peace Hazell.
We are deeply saddened by this news. Hazell lived life with zest, dignity and courage. She came into our life as a Production Assistant for a young, growing company and later became a valued client when she moved on. She continued to be a friend and we are grateful today for the good memories which will live on in our hearts.
Hazell my lovely friend.
Many years have passed since we were at school, still have the Netball photo. We had some great times together.
Rest in peace.
Love Pat xx
Was sorry to hear of Hazell’s passing. Worked from time to time with her at GM and found her to be a pleasant soul. Rest in Peace Hazell and condolences to your family and friends.
I first met Hazell when we were both 12 years old in 1958 and starting secondary school. We shared the same class for the next 5 years. She was so full of live and always up front when it came to sport, a really lovely person who lit up our class. After we left school I knew nothing of her life until she contacted me via Linkedin about 4 years ago. We were going to meet up sometime on one of her trips back to the UK but sadly we never made it. RIP Hazell, you have left a beautiful memory in the hearts of many.
