LINSLEY, Evelyn (Anger) ….
December 2, 1910 – March 1, 2018
Peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Middlesex Terrace, Evelyn passed away in her 108th year. Beloved wife of the late Murray Anger and late George Linsley. Evelyn is the oldest daughter of the late Frederick and Lily Clifford, formerly of Putnam. Dear mother of Elgin Anger and his wife Rosemarie (2017) of P.E.I. and Patricia Ellinger of Collingwood. Cherished grandmother of Kim MacGregor and her husband Wendell, James Anger, William Anger and his wife Michele, Echo Giroux and her husband Bertrand, Alan Anger, Michael Ellinger, Mark Ellinger and his wife Nancy and Tanya Anger. Evelyn will be fondly remembered by her 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by nieces Lynn Glenn and her husband Brian and Lee Carter and her husband Gregory. Predeceased by brothers Frederick and Archie Clifford, her sister Barbara Alexander, her son Francis Anger and her grandson Victor Anger. Evelyn enjoyed traveling after the passing of George with trips to Europe, Barbados and other exotic places. We always enjoyed regular visits to Collingwood and P.E.I. even coming up to Collingwood till her mid 90’s. She was a strong and independent woman and an inspiration to everyone who met her. Her passion for keeping the family history alive has now been passed on. Special thanks to the caring staff at Grandwood and Middlesex Terrace and to Luella, Anne and Lee, her special friends who have been so compassionate and supportive. Friends are welcomed for visiting, one-hour prior (12-1 pm) to the funeral service being held at Reynolds Creek United Church, formerly Putnam United Church, 7180 Hamilton Road, Putnam on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 1 pm. I drove Evelyn to Calvary from her Grand Ave. apt., and visited with her at Grandwood. I so much enjoyed her sense of humour, and her interest in and knowledge of the Blue Jays. An amazing person! Rest in peace dear lady.
Ev lived across from my grandmother’s apt. on Grand Ave.
My grandmother was Dorothy Fowler, & she was also friends with
my mother Donna Wakefield. When
my grandmother passed on I got
a couple of tables that Ev’s husband
refurnished for my grandmother. I
always remember Ev’s smile. Sorry
for your loss to the family from my
Mother & myself.
