Dave was my late husband’s brother and Andy loved Dave passionately. They were great pals all their lives. Dave was also very proud of his 2 nephews and 2 nieces. My condolences to the loss of your dad, Kim. He is finally free from sickness and diseases and will live in his eternal home forever.

My Uncle Dave was an early hero of mine along with my older than me but in no way old – Kim. Since hearing the news of his passing I have been thinking of him a lot and the memories I had both old and new. When we would visit my grandparents in London he would ride up on his Harley, take me fishing, go for a swim with his hunting dogs, and tell me life lessons from his life in ways that I would never forget. His voice had a soothing element to it – while his demeanor and strength let me know that this was a man I would never want to mess with. My father admired his older brother until his passing in a way that let me know that Dave was a man who loved fiercely and would protect his own before himself. He gave me instructions on how to walk so as not to scare the fish on my first fly fishing trip while instilling in me lessons on how to protect nature and not disturb the banks. I always remember sitting on his Harley thinking that one day I would like to ride one of those. Instead I bought a triumph bonneville as it was the first bike my Dad had owned in the late sixties – but one day I’ll get that Harley Uncle Dave and I’ll remember you while I cruise around. He was not an easy man to get ahold of, but when we spoke on the phone I could hear in his words and his voice how he shaped my own father into the man I loved so deeply and he reminded me of those childhood times that will never be lost.
See you soon my man.
