My heartfelt sympathy to Connie’s family. I was honoured to be a student and long-term friend of Connie’s. The sun will continue to rise and set, but “my” earth will never be the same. Until we meet again. Love, Dan
RIP dear Connie, what a beautiful person to have known and learned from. You have left so many lovely memories behind, thank you for everything , you will be sadly missed
Dear Jeff, Janet and Barb, I was saddened to hear this announcement in Church yesterday. Connie was a matriarch at Saint James and I will miss the warm smile she always greeted me with. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
My condolences to the family. Those of us who knew Connie have been blessed. Her inspiration to me helped as I learned bookmaking skills.
Barb, Janet and Jeff – so very sorry to hear about yet another loss of a very important person in your lives. Connie will live in my memory as a blessing to her family, church and community. I’m so grateful to have had the chance to get to know her, and know her creativity, wit, and determination will be missed. Prayers for all of you.
Thanks Miss Jefferess, for the mentoring and kindness as teacher in the H.B. Beal Art department. You taught me not just to do, but to appreciate art. Batik, print making embroidery and sewing, just to mention a few teaching specialties. Her home room was a sanctuary where a student could just be a student. You will be missed, but I can look back at that formative part of my life and think with fondness. I still have the works that she mentored me with.
Connie was a kind gentle person. I now know why… she is a Christian. We can find peace in the truth that she is now with her Lord.
My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
Connie was one of my greatest inspirations for living a life in art making. She was dedicated and very supportive of me and my work and I will always keep a special place in my heart for this dear dear lady. Rest in peace, Connie.
Connie’s life mattered to her family, friends and those who cared for her health needs. We have all been her “students” and will carry her lessons within us, paying them forward. Sincere condolences and appreciation for the privilege of working with her family to provide end of life care. Your gift to your aunt of giving her a symptom free death with dignity, surrounded by those who love her, is what we all wish for. Kind regards Cathy Faulds.
So sorry to hear that Connie has passed away. I’ve known her for almost 60 years. Connie lived across the street from us on Baker St. and was a fixture in all the neighbourhood shenanigans. I had nice chat with her on the phone in June and she told me that she and her parents got such a kick out of all the Baker St. kids.
Connie, you will be missed.
