Obituary
Middleton-Linda (Mather)
1950-2017
In the early hours of Friday September 22, sadly, another angel got her wings. Linda was taken away from us far too early and she will be missed dearly by so many. Linda was the best friend you could ever have. Always the most generous, kindest, loving person you could ever imagine. Her sweet smile was always there but that stubborn streak resonated when she wanted it to. Her long awaited dream to go to Alaska was fulfilled one year ago. She often talked about how special the trip was and those of us who went with her know what it meant to her. Linda made all our lives brighter and will be missed especially by Cyn, Jayne, Judy, Lyne, Maggie, Marlene, Mary, Nancy, Peg and scores of others who loved her – you know who you are. Thanks to Dr Colquhoun and 8th floor staff at University Hospital who took so good care of her. Nurses Carla, Kayla and Brittney will be especially remembered. Also thank you Lynn and Wendy for your kindness and support to all of us. Many thanks to staff at Waverly Mansion. Although her stay there was short, the care and attention will be long remembered. Linda has donated her body to science which may help others showing again how generous she was, always helping others. Please join us in a Celebration of Life to be held Sunday October 29th from 1-4 pm at 954 Leathorne Ave. Unit 2. Wear bright colours – it’s a celebration! If desired, as expressions of sympathy, donations to The London Food Bank, 926 Leathorne St, London, ON N5Z 3M5, would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted with A. Millard George Funeral Home, 519-433-5184. Online condolences, memories and photographs shared at www.amgfh.com

Linda was a delightful person and it was a privilege to know her. Everytime I saw Linda she had a lovely smile on her face and I knew she was just happy and content to be with her close friends. My deepest sympathy to her dear friends.
My Aunt Linda was a very generous and calming soul, always there for me, always a ear to listen, and a shoulder to cry on, she will be in my heart and the hearts of countless other. Friends and family meant so much to her. I will miss our talks with great sadness, but i know she is in a better place and will always be looking down upon the people that loved her and that helped her greatly in her time of need. I love you very much Aunt Linda. Thank you to all her friends, and thank you Aunt Linda for being you.
Your niece Nancy
Linda you will be missed so much. We are happy you are no longer in pain and now with angels in heaven as you were an angel on earth.
You were always an inspiration to everyone around you and would make us all smile and laugh even when we thought our hearts were breaking. A positive influence on everyone you touched. Until we meet again, good friend, you will be sorely missed.
A donation has been made to the London Food Bank in the memory of Linda.,
Words cannot express the heartbreak, hurt and pain we feel being cruely denied the chance to say goodbye, but we know in our hearts that you would have wanted us there regardless of what we were told. You meant so much to us and we will continue as you would have wanted to be the unselfish, kind and loving family you deserved to have by your side before you went on to a better place.
We will miss you Aunt Linda.
Rest in peace.
With love…. your niece Michelle & nephews Cody & Tyler.

Linda was part of our Take a Break Family. Linda may not be with us physically on the trips but her spirit will always be with us. Linda was a very special person who touched many lives by her beautiful disposition. She will be and is already, sadly and very missed.

I had the privilege of knowing Linda for over 40 years. Although I had not seen her for 20 years, I do remember her as one of the kindest, sweetest, and good hearted people that I ever met. She will be sorely missed. I tried to see her before she passed away; but, she died the day before I could get to London and I will forever regret not being able to tell her how much she, and her friendship, meant to me, and how much I enjoyed working with her at income security for 18 years. Linda always gave 100% to her clients, her coworkers, her friends, and her family.
I would like to thank Marlene, Cynthia and Larry for everything they did for Linda in the last months before her death. Between them Linda was never alone in the battle she so valiantly fought with cancer.
Linda you be missed but never forgotten. I love you, God bless and rest in peace.
God has taken you too soon from us , but you are in a better place now , i just seen you when dad was in the hospital last year and the phone contacts we had together , you will be missed dearly as you were my best aunt just like aunt arlene, love you forever and always Brenda and Ken xoxoxxoxoxo
Over the past 34 years, our family has had the honour of having the best friend anyone could have ever had. Linda was kind and generous in every way. Through the years the only thing we argued about was who was going to pick up the dinner cheque. She won a lot – but could be tricked if you were cagey. Linda was a great travelling companion whether it was a shopping trip or touring…what memories we made.
Steve and I embraced Linda into our family and were blessed with her love and friendship. We have shared laughs, tears, hopes and dreams over the years and we will miss her every day.
We’ll think of her when we hear someone say her favourite phrase “it is what it is” and smile and remember. When one of us does something not too bright, we’ll hear her calling us “stupidhead” – that was always so priceless
The last several weeks were difficult for Linda and for all of us who were with her as her illness progressed. I know that she was aware that all those who loved her were with her every step of the way and that she was never alone.
Linda was taken away from us far too soon, but she was looking for quality of life, not quantity so though it is difficult for those of us who are left – she is in a better place. We were privileged to be part of Linda’s life – so rest in peace my friend, we will love you forever
Steve and Marlene xoxo
