John Paul was a youthful, joyful and kind soul that always had a way of bringing laughter to everyone around him. Many memories of hysterical laughter brought on by John Paul’s impersonations, he was incredibly gifted with comedic talents. I will always remember the great times made memorable by John Paul. Life handed John Paul a horrible fate that ended his life undeniably far too soon. Many heavy hearts are left with great loss. Goodbye, John Paul. You are missed.

To his family; I’m sorry for your loss. John Paul was a kind person and a good friend to all who knew him. He will be missed more than he knows. My son will always treasure his memories of the days he came over to teach him how to play guitar. He really enjoyed the time they spent together. Thank you John Paul.
Your friend Teresa.

I met Joh Paul at Country Terrace where I visit my sister, Megan. While we did not have much of a chance to get to know each other, I always appreciated his smile and greeting that he gave my sister. I also had the occasion to help him light a few smokes in the garden of the residence.

It was such a pleasure knowing JP. He was such a kind soul that did not deserve the cards life dealt him. I hope you rest in sweet peace JP. My heart is broken for you. I will miss you and your laugh.

My condolences to the Gortworst family.
JP was always fun to have around. Growing up he was a fixture at our house. Hanging out with my brother Scott and all their friends. He was like family to us and will be greatly missed. Rest in piece JP.

John Paul shone a beautiful light. I spoke with him on several occasions at County Terrace last year when visiting a friend, Megan Bice. He had a loving, kind way about him, a great sense of humour and a strong faith. It was a blessing to meet him.
