Valerie West

Peacefully at Dearness Home, London on August 16, 2017, Valerie West went to be with her Lord shortly after her 90th birthday. Beloved wife of the late John “Jack” West (2011). Dear mother of Laura Brown and her husband Rob of London, Pamela Gonder of Sudbury, and Jeff West and his wife Trish of Markham. Cherished grandmother of Tim, Paul (Andzelika) and Rebecca (Jody), Steven (Amber), Andrea (Kelly) and Brian (Cassondra), Michael, Katie, Hilary and Luke and great-grandmother of 20. Predeceased by her parents John and Ida Bright and sisters Margaret Strudwick, Joyce Yandt and June McKerlie. Valerie was a longstanding member of the Wortley Baptist Church. Valerie enjoyed visits to and many memories of her homeland of England. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Dearness Home for their care and compassion. Friends are welcomed for visiting on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 6-8 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London and 1-hour prior (12-1 pm) to the funeral service on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 1 pm. Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London.
