BLANEY, Donald Calvin …
Passed peacefully with family by his side on June 29th, 2017 in his 90th year. Husband to the late Marion (nee Porter) Blaney 1995 and Alice McLennan (nee Deeks) Blaney 2011. Devoted father to Stephen (Kathryn nee McDowell), Norman (Colleen nee Vandervelden), Susan (David Gibson), Patrick (Mary nee Snazel), Carolyn (Stephen Arndt) and Donald (Patty nee Cox) as well as Ken and Paul McLennan. Proud grandpa to 21 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Predeceased by parents John and Hazel (nee Long) Blaney and sister Doreen Somerville. Survived by Bill (Elaine nee Phoenix) and brother in law Peter Somerville. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 7-9 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, where the service will be conducted in the chapel on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 11 am. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery. Carolyn, Steven and family, I am very sorry for the loss of your father. The loss of a patent is very difficult, and the loss of a parent from Alzheimer’s disease is a long goodbye.
